  • Your forgot to put their ridiculous shipping costs, which is $59.

I think it comes in a 24 crt. gold envelope

  • $59 shipping to Sydney. SS, you've done it again :) OP, might want to include this in your title/description.

Still bloody cheap though at a total of $295ish. Can anyone find cheaper total cost?

I have this camera and can wholeheartedly recommend it - simply brilliant set of features and picture quality for the size.

    It's $294 with delivery.

Saw it for $253 delivered at Citiwide…apparently they are ok to deal with?

    • Wow ok that's crazy cheap. Might have to retract my positive. Is it still that price at citiwide delivered? Am on iPhone and from what I could see needed to sign in for postage - cbf on this tiny screen.

      • Yeah I just checked.

That was for the black one…extra $10 for other colours.

      • Blazers, that is good! Must be new models on their way out, either that or they figure nobody is buying cameras any more seeing phones these days come with half decent ones built in

    • Does city wide include warranty? they got the extended option for $100.???

      • 12 months door to door from what I can see, although it's 18 months atm?

"Citiwide offer 6 months Extended Warranty from 1st March 2011 to 30th October 2011. Thus, the warranty period becomes to 18 months!"

        • thanks mate, sounds like a very good deal now

        • Just got a reply from an email about the warranty on the TZ20:

          "Dear customer,

          Thanks for choosing citiwide-online.

Yes the camera has 18 months door to door warranty.

          Regards,"

For comparison, SS had it at $280 delivered during a one-day sale on 19 Sept 2011. Ypou should put delivery price in the title considering it is SS with their ridiculous shipping prices.

Also, for those considering a purchase, the Canon SX230 is roughly equivalent, without as good features (eg somewhat less zoom) but better image quality according to most reports. http://snapsort.com/compare/Canon-SX230-HS-vs-Panasonic-TZ20 - SS have it at $225.95 + delivery. http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_83925_Canon_PowerShot_SX2…

    • Hmmm…yeah…I was eyeing off the TZ20 for an upcoming trip…just want the following:

      • compact camera
      • close to instantaneous shutter speed / minimum shutter lag (?)
      • long zoom
      • ability to take short videos

For this price point is it out of these 2?

      • +1

Yes. All the reviews I've read rate these two as the best but it depends on whether you want A+ features and B quality photos (TZ20) or B features and A+ quality photos (SX230). The TZ20 has a slightly wider wide angle, slightly more telephoto, and a touch screen. It is also capable of faster continuous shooting. But apparently image quality is a little lower than the previous model and not as sharp as the Canon. Essentially I think they overshot the mark by going with the higher megapixel count for the TZ20. It's a close call and I still haven't decided between the two :-)

I can't find the reviews I was reading previously but this might help: http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Panasonic_Lumix_DMC_TZ20_Z…

NB the SX220 is the same as the SX230 but without GPS.

        • Cheers mate ; )

      • I have this camera i haven't had a chance to test it in travel conditions but from what i've tried so far it's been a brilliant camera.

Amazing zoom, GPS and great video capturing.

Check out camera paradise i bought mine for $250 including shipping (before the dollar depreciated) so not sure what it's sitting on now…
