OzB Exclusive: $5 Bonus Cashback with $50 Spend at Any Online Store @ Cashrewards (Activation Required, Excludes Woolies GCs)

3690

Hi everyone. A great bonus to close out the EOFY sales - stack with Apple 6%, First Choice Liquor 10%, Menulog 15%, Target 4%, and many other awesome offers on site. Please read the terms and activate the offer prior to shopping. Once activated, shop as normal via the 'Shop Now' (Store) or 'Activate Now' (Notifier) buttons on Cashrewards. Valid for purchases made from 12:00pm 30/06/20 to 11:59pm 30/06/20 (AEST). Thanks for your support as always. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

  • To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the link in this post, then shop as normal via any online store on Cashrewards, excluding Woolworths Gift Cards.
  • Transaction must be made between 12:00PM AEST 30/06/20 and 11:59PM AEST 30/06/20.
  • $5 bonus is eligible when making a purchase of AUD $50 or more (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping).
  • $5 bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 05/09/2020.
  • $5 bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  • Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  • Bonus is not valid for any in-store purchase.
  • Sales may report to Cashrewards ex GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $50. You will still be eligible for the bonus.
  • Selected merchants report orders with multiple items as individual transactions into your Cashrewards account (eBay, Amazon Australia & AliExpress). These are still eligible.
  • $5 bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account (separate purchases from different stores don’t qualify for additional bonuses).
  • $5 bonus is ineligible if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected, or if you purchase an ineligible product (standard store cashback terms and exclusions apply).
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other activation bonuses that may be current at this time.
  • Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

A common question is "will I be eligible for the bonus if I purchase anything from an Amazon category at 0% cashback, or on eBay using a code"? Answer is unfortunately no. Thank you.

Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $10 each. Tip: add your code to OzB’s randomiser. And check out our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

    On ya TA!

  • is Australia post gift card count?

    • Id buy ebay giftcards here, but they post it out.
      Wish they had e-gift cards!

  • Yeah right, after I spent more than $5k last night with Dell

    • +43

It could have been $4,995. How can you live with yourself now?

      • +4

And then wait 90 days for the $5
Then another 26 months to build balance to $10
Then another week for the EFT

        • +3

Those days are going to pass anyway unless you die so you might as well be $5 richer at the end of it.

        • Yep totally agree. No way of knowing if you will actually get the $5 magically appear in 90 days. It's not like anything is indicated or showing on your account.

      • Won't be able to sleep at night for a long time.

  • Any Dan's cashback boosts coming?

  • will this be stacked with this $10 Bonus Cashback https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/548315

    • +2

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other activation bonuses that may be current at this time.

      • +3

What if I’ve activated both and make two $50 spends today?

      • @tightarse for Australia post purchase with order on hold, will the transaction be tracked or it will track after it went through? If it si the later case i would call Australia post to cancel the order instead.

        Thanks

  • +1

sigh.. I literally ordered something 6 minutes ago then saw this..

    • ask for a refund?

      • +3

over $300, used giftcard and cashrewards already. can't be bothered for $5.

The 'must click the button' opt-in thing annoys me generally (same for WW/flybys coupons), should just be enabled irrespective for the time window.

Thanks TA, great way to get discounted gift cards from Australia post :)

    Amazon $50
    eBay $50

    • +1

From previous threads, isn't auspost more hassle than it's worth for gift cards?

      • +2

It is a bit of a hassle.
        But, it's effectively a 10% discount.

But if you have something else you need to buy, go for it :)

        • 11%

          • @HomeAlone: Not sure why you were negged, but it really is 11% (1% regular cashback ie. 50c + the $5)

    • Is that e gift card or physical?

      • Physical

        • ahhhhhh, I wanted to use on coles ebay so be able to get their 10% off as well, but it will end tonight hahahahha :)))

    • +1

i am still waiting for the last time ($2 bonus) gift card to be posted!

    • +2

If you're after eBay gift cards you'd be better off going with this Woolworths Rewards deal which does expire today though. Plus you also get $5 in points back for every $50 card so not restricted to only 1 like this deal.

Plus you also don't have to wait 2+ months and/or not even getting it at all..

    • +2

Last time I bought gift cards (Amazon) via CR from Australia Post they weren't activated before they were sent. Unfortunately, entering the cards makes them invalid and there's no way to tell without loading them into your Amazon account.
AP recognise they stuffed up, but are now saying I have to post the cards back registered mail @ my cost or risk no recourse if they get lost in the mail. Then they'll reissue them and send replacements within a couple of weeks.
The registered mail fee is more than the saving compared to Suncorp rewards and Suncorp is instant.

      • PayPal refund? Item not as described

        • Then I lose CR on the whole order. Two cards worked, three didn't.

          • @CacheHunter: FYI Paypal refund windows is 180 days, and you get 3 portions of cashback for only 2 cards.

      • Ring them up and they can manually fix it over the phone. They have done it for me and others. They pay the postage if you do have to return them.

Thanks TA and doweyy, picked up an Amazon gift card!

    • +1

Thanks Doweyy. Got an Amazon GC.

  • Sweet, just used it to buy a watch on Amazon AU :)

  • +2

    Thank You again TA!

  • Will it work with the flybuys offer on First Choice?

  • Will this work with Kogan? I am an existing Kogan customer

    • Cashback is eligible only on first shop to new customers of Kogan.com. Guest checkout is classified as a returning customer, and will therefore be ineligible for cashback.

    • Just create another Kogan account. Their CS even suggested me to do it, when they couldn't figure out why I can't do Kogan First Trial (keep saying I already used it, even after CS confirmed that I never took the trial in their system).

  • noice i held off a slab from Dan's last night and glad I did now

  • Can we use gift card for purchase? And still get bonus cb?

  • Perfect just used to make a $50 purchase on Amazon kitchenware =D

  • +1

I wish amazon has 0.0000000000001% cash back on books!

    • Hehe I like the thinking :)

  • @TA - does Amazon stuff that is US Prime Imports count towards Cashback? Its shoes so qualifies for cashback.

Or is that fact my order is still pending the reason that the cashback has not been confirmed yet?

    Cheers

Thanks TA, just got an Amazon gift card.

My purchase from 26 June from Auspost wasn’t tracked. When I placed the order, website stated order is pending 2 business days for payment verification, no tracked email from cashreward as well….

    • same - not sure if I could be bothered again …

    • me too, mine is not tracked either, it's been four days.

      • +1

Hi Jugg. I have your details from a previous enquiry. This could explain why your purchase didn't track (last column).

        • -1
          • +2

@Maglia Nera: Perfect… so what's the issue? You stated above your sale didn't track, when in fact it tracked successfully, and as per the terms of that offer:

$5 bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 29/08/2020.

            • +1

@tightarse: apologies - thought the $5.00 would show up straight away. My bad 🙇‍♂️

        • I have turn adblocker off before purchase and whitelist cashreward and auspost as well, this shouldn't happen, my amazon got tracked when cashback is miniscule.

          • +1

@Jugg.Judy: Cashback for a $50 gift card is miniscule as well. The issue is you had AdBlock enabled. Why risk using the plugin? Please use a clean browser or the CR mobile app.

            • @tightarse: Thats not the point,if it work with amazon, why shouldnt it work with Auspost? as I said I disabled throughout the whole process, people use adblocker for a reason and thats why there is whitelist option.

        • Yikes I forgot to disable my adblocker for my AustPost purchase! Bugger. CR probably won't track then D:

          • +1

            @CVonC: Buy another one.

            • @vhfyagi: hmm I might just. Will give it a few more hours and see if it tracks. But doubt it'll come that quick even if it does tbh.

              • +1

@CVonC: My purchase from auspost this afternoon tracked within an hour.

    • that makes 4. been checking spam folder too, but no cigar

    • Did an order for the same offer on 26 June (different seller) and it also hasn't tracked

      • Give them some time. I did a $50 in store purchase at Caltex for the same offer. CR site warns it can take up to 14 days to track. I've just made a note in my diary to check in two weeks. CR tells you how long each retailer can take. Until then, why not relax?

    • Same, did an order for $50 amazon gc through Auspost and hasn't tracked. Can't open a case because it hasn't been a week

  • When it says 'Selected merchants report orders with multiple items as individual transactions into your Cashrewards account (eBay, Amazon Australia & AliExpress). These are still eligible.'
Does that mean individual items over $50 are eligible, or a $50 cart is eligible?..

    • I believe your total order must contain cashback eligible items, that add up to at least $50 or more.

Some items in your order may not be eligible for cashback, so won't count towards the $50 minimum order amount.

  • +4

Is anybody keeping track (spreadsheet?) of all these 'spend $$ get $ back' deals from CashRewards? I just want to make sure I'm not missing cashback. Thanks.

    • I put a reminder for due date in ozb if I participate in the deal.

  • Can this be used to buy something on ebay with the eBay plus $50 credit?

  • +1

Damnit, missed the last one, bought something yesterday thinking there would be no furthur deals..

    • +1

Me too… I always miss out on these and buy in between. Very frustrating.

  • kogan (non-new user) , not eligible ?

    • Cashback is eligible only on first shop to new customers of Kogan.com. Guest checkout is classified as a returning customer, and will therefore be ineligible for cashback.

  • +1

Thanks TA, bought another $50 Amazon gift card.

    • +1

Same, and another "Your order hasn't been finalised." message. Hopefully I can remember to check in September

      • +2

I find you don't get these if you pay via PayPal

        • Yes my PayPal one processed

  • what a legend!

  • +7

@TA, I asked this last time and got no reply. The Amazon categories on the Cash rewards website don't align with the current categories on Amazon.com.au. How do we know which category something falls into to know whether it is a 0% CB item and therefore not eligible for this offer

    • Yes this. For Amazon Au Cashrewards lists 4.00% cashback for “Camera”, but item I want falls under category “Electronics › Camera & Photo › Accessories” as does all photo gear as best I can tell. There is no just “Camera” category at Amazon, and cashback for Electronics is 0.0%. So are items in the “Camera & Photo” sub-category eligible for 4.0% cashback? If not, 4.00% cashback for “Camera” is impossible to obtain. Thanks.

  • -1

Edit: read the full post and got clarified, thanks

  • Does a 1 year subscription to Amazon prime count for this? Thanks

    • I don't think Amazon Prime membership is eligible for cashback from Cashrewards.

  • Tried the previous $5 promo with a purchase from Amazon and nothing tracked. Will have to send an email to follow up

    • You might want to check you didn't buy 0% cashback items because you won't get the bonus it seems.

      • Thanks for the tip. It was from the Kitchen category so should still be included. Will follow up with them

  • TA my purchase didnt track from the 26th June bonus $5….. :|

    • I can see today's one did. Did you have a payment issue at checkout on the 26th?

      • Nope. Thats why i query… todays tracked but 26th didnt.

      • Does my click show any adblocker or something on 26th June like Jugg above?

  • +1

Thanks TA, bought booze from Amazon @ 8% cashback plus $5

  • Hi, can I just clarify that "Vehicle Parts & Accessories" are valid items on eBay?

  • TA my purchase on Amazon didnt track from the 26th June bonus $5
