This.
Link not working OP, just displays the logo. Sounds good though, currently using MYOB which is really good but a bit expensive considering we don't use all the bells and whistles.
Have you considered MYOB Account Right?
Hi guys
Your local accountant here (well maybe local if you live in Sydney).
I received an email from Xero today with 50% off business editions for 4 month using code 'BEAUTIFUL2020'.
This code expires 30 June 2020.
I personally love this software and cannot recommend it enough! Happy end of financial year.
Can this be applied for existing account or to new ones only?
lol … what do you think?
You beat me to it. Awesome software.
Glad to see fellow accountants on OB.
FYI - Locality and Xero are not necessary. I'm in SA and plenty of my clients are in Sydney and elsewhere.
Thank you!
I've been on the free trial for the past month and just used this code to sign up - perfect timing!
thanks so much mate - saved me some cash. much appreciated. now just need to learn how to use it :) :)
I have the standard edition. Costing me $50 pm. What is the business edition?
Seems most of the paid editions are classed as "business". Promo seems to apply to all except Payroll Edition.
e.g. Standard comes down to $25 p/month.
Business editions exclude what is available to Xero partners.
ie. Ledger, Cashbook-NonGST, Cashbook GST
If your a powerpass member you get myob half price for 12 months.
Is there any outright option for MYOB or Xero?
No, it's Software As A Service.
For example, Xero have added all of the new JobKeeper integration into their software. No way they could afford to do that without a recurring revenue stream if people bought a licence 8 years ago.
Thanks.
I run MYOB essentials it works Ok-ish but my data is lost in their cloud.
Are there any workable solutions to download my data? Happy to start with a new fresh ledger but I need data in case I am audited, plus good internal control.
The inability to download data makes me tense, it's a cheap way to lock me in, i get that.
Xero I understand commits to keeping my data for an extended period if I were to leave so that audits are feasible.
Perhaps the public accountants here might share what happens when the ATO wants data and the MYOB account is closed?
You should be able to export ledger reports of all transactions. Typically do this every 12 months as a soft backup. In line with financial periods.
Run all reports and export to excel/csv and pdf.
JetConvert convert myob and quickbooks files to xero. But i don't think essentials can be converted.
Thanks guys, help out small business who are already your customers 🙄
