Makes you wonder what's taking eBay so long to get to a decision. Should be a straight refund of $200 for the 100 buyers on the 2 pm drop that got charged full price?

Don't know how it works cheaper for them to import from US! These would anyway be manufactured in Asia then shipped to US and then to Australia!!

No way will it be AU stock. A similar thing happened with the Apple watches and after waiting almost 2 weeks they received the same US model.
If they sent the Australian variant then it wouldn’t be the product in the listing. People were all up in arms when they supplied the exact watch variant listed.
Most likely they are direct from Asia, just because it’s a US variant doesn’t mean it’s been to the US.
Messaged the seller and they confirmed that "This Ipad will be US set"

Updating on my iPad purchase.
As I cancelled it immediately, I was able to get the full refund of $529 on Wednesday night.
I am hoping Ebay would honour the people that paid full price like they did with the Airpods 2. Still no word from Ebay on this matter.
I don't really care about not getting this iPad so it'd probably saved me $329. If I get it, I'd only keep it as a backup or resell it cheaply to a parent who can't afford to pay $500 for one.
It had been a fun month of Ebay Plus. I managed to get 4 items but I didn't keep any of them:
- Apple Watch & Airpods Pro: Presents to the wife
- Airpods 2: Present to my niece's birthday
- Airpods 2: Resold for $110 to my wife's colleqgue's school age daughter who had been trying to save up $200 for it.
Can't wait to see everyone here again in 3 months time to battle it out!

while on chat i asked for a $25 voucher to compensate for the waste of time and delayed delivery and they gave it ;) so hopefully 329 + 200 -5 - 200 -25

Reply via ebay inbox. Replying to the email goes nowhere. You will get an automated email saying they don't monitor it.
make sure ebay live chat has flagged you acc as having the stuff up
I received an email from Ebay yesterday. The typical follow up email on a previous enquiry with a transcript number.
So I followed it up with an Ebay chat and asked if Ebay would honour the $200 discount code by providing me with a new code to buy the iPad for $329. The answer was "No, because the sale had already ended".
The sale has ended? Youre not really telling us why you thought they would give you this?
I will note over night I finally received follow up notice on my 3 convos over the last 4 or 5 days they must have had some email issues?
They had a valid code which was invalid. So the people that got the iPad actually paid full price. Some people cancelled the full price iPad and hoped Ebay would honour the discount on another iPad. Some people kept the purchase and hope Ebay would refund the $200.

Yes, I did and I got the refund. I was hoping they would honour the valid code which became invalid. Anyway, worth a try and I am not upset for missing out. Just a lot of mucking around and wasted so much time.
