No stock drop at 12 PM EST as advertised. Looks like they screwed up and released all stock early. And looks like the deal is over for the rest of the day when I looked on the "Special Offers" page. (at least as of 12:06 PM EST)
I think they stuffed up and accidentally released all the stock early. Damn missed that "surprise" drop by less than a minute. Refreshed the comments on here saw what was happening and went to my other tab click confirm and pay and it was all gone. 11:48 :(

@KOBH: I signed up for the 99c membership and they even f***ed that up and charged me the full $49.
Took over a month from memory of chatting to useless customer service to get that difference refunded after they tried to palm me off with $48 in vouchers instead.
@stickyfingers: I asked live chat first if the 99c 1yr membership was genuine and they sent me an email script then I joined.

Seriously these promotions are only obtainable for those on OzB. Any average joe out there who sadly paid full price for their membership will will clearly think the whole thing is a giant scam.
The whole thing is made even more ridiculous when people resell multiple drop items on GumTree and eBay! and some fools out seem willing to pay nearly Aus RRP for these items. I've seen the Apple Watch from the $399 deal (US model with somewhat iffy warranty for the 2nd year) actually sold to someone for $600 on one listing (and it did not appear to be discounted through special offer).
You can easily get Aus stock with a solid warranty for 2 years (if you have any inkling of ACL) from officeworks for $629 delivered! (or even less from an Aus retailer using gift cards). Who the eff is willing to buy these things for a $29 discount!
While these deals are popular with those on OzB it's going to leave a sour taste in the average joe, who would probably cancel their eBay Plus after the first year unless they have some kind of goldfish memory.
It isn't helped by eBay somehow being unable to drop the item they are promoting front and centre everywhere at the correct times and in the correct amounts!

Imho, EBay plus is not entirely for these deals, you save a lot on shipping and returns if you are regular eBay purchaser like I’m.
Though I may have second thoughts in keeping my membership alive, I also need to consider the other items that I buy from eBay and being plus member saves me on shipping.
These deals are just cherry on ice.
If I compare ebay plus, amazon prime, Costco and Kogan first, I’ll rate eBay plus as the highest bang for my buck.

Clicked buy at 12 only to realize that it was sold out prior. LOL
i had mine ready from the 10am drop (and had $0 express delivery automatically) and at 11:40 i hit confirm and pay… noticed i got charged $528! looked carefully and $199 for delivery was in there… so sometime between 10am and 11:40am it got changed from $0 to $199! Now i wish i missed out!

I was lucky enough to score one at 10, but eBay absolutely dropped the ball here.
Definitely not the first time this happens ! Recall vaguely something similar happened at least once to an AirPod deal, except I think that one the subsequent drops were not cancelled, meaning eBay ended up selling more units than planned

They ended up sourcing more Airpods from another seller. (Original seller was Titan_gear, Additional Stock were from iot_hub).
Hopefully they source more ipads(Aus stock). :P

My previous order from IOT.Hub came with a Tax Invoice with an ABN and GST on it, so I don't see why it wouldn't be tax deductible (Beside being Grey Stock).
