  • What's different between this and tech fast

    • +8

theyre in syd and it seems like its one guy in his mum's garage

Techfast is a mainstream large company who offers competitive pricing.

In my opinion techfast has such good pricing they have so many customers which means their shipping time is often over 4 weeks.

Being a smaller company we are all about customer satisfaction and will work with you the whole way through your purchase, Pre & Post. We love trouble shooting and are more then happy to help with any problem, no matter how small.

    • +3

Tech fast will be cheaper, but this company will claim to use better components (although they don't specify which brands for things like SSD, ram, HDD etc)

      • +14

The brands used in this build are, MSI, Deepcool, AMD Ryzen, Galax, Western Digital, Antec and Team Force.

        • +9

          1) Would be great if the original post is updated, where each of the parts is accompanied by exact or possible brands.

          2) Drop opinions from parts (eg. "Very fast SSD"), and just state facts.

    • +9

Actually the cost of this PC is 1385 before shipping

It is fully pre built and delivered within a suitable time frame with full warranty and life time tech support.

        • +6

If you want to build it yourself do it. If you want to buy from techfast and wait 4-6 weeks for your PC, do it.

            • +7

@cheapskateasian: Everyone knows that building your own PC can be cheaper. More constructive feedback would be to post an equivalent pre built system for a lower price.

            • +14

@cheapskateasian: The bargain is in comparison to mainstream sellers like scorptec, umart, mwave etc. We are not as large as other companies and cannot offer competitive pricing like them. In my opinion, I would rather spend my money somewhere I know i'm not going to get terrible customer service. I understand this may not be your ideal price range, But we can both agree it is not a terrible price.

              • +8

@Titan Tech: Good on you for keeping a level head while being trolled. If the guy doesn't understand the value of PC that comes built with a warranty and support then you're not going to convince him, but you've let the other people reading know the value.

Some people would prefer the guarantee that it arrives on their doorstep in one piece ready to go and not fuss around with building and searching for parts.

And, for some people if you factor in the time it takes to assemble a PC, at their working rate this works out cheaper. Same with people who get people to wash their cars. It's because the price of inconvience is outweighed by the small margin extra that is put onto the PC.

    • Is your name Karen? Just curious

    • +3

cheapskateasian, I'd like to place an order for one of these systems at the price you state.
I'd like to be sure you will provide delivery and a tax invoice and ensure all of the guarantees to me under
      Australian consumer law.

      • and the shill hasnt replied yet

      Wow, just wow.
Definitely going about this the wrong way mate.

    • +3

But you literally abused Luke from Techfast in the last deal post lol

    • +2

      Dreaming..

Good luck, its a tricky business. IMO, drop the "2060 can be God-Like" and leave users to Google the details for themselves.
One of Tech-Fast's negatives is no-brand hardware, Some of the items in my TechFast build were of questionable quality (since removed). IMO, if you offer cheap but name brand hardware people can look up, you'll be offering spec's ahead of the competition.
We are happy to have a new player, I hope you have thick skin.

What is it with other PC sellers always having to deal with awful comments/negatives?

  • +1

Good price, i think. Will get 1 from you guy when I ready for my upgrade next year.

  • +2

Meh.. the CGB Solution deal looks much more attractive for the same price
Edit to paste the link to the deal

    • CGB have great computers at great prices. I highly recommend them!

      • from what I've read, the 5700XT, while slightly more powerful than the 2060 is more prone to overheating causing it to underperform (tho I can't speak for the 'triple fan' version)
So you're tossing up between a system where you may need spend $$$ upgrading to liquid cooling or a 2060 with better build quality

        • It's not just the GPU that's better, there's double the ram (32gb) in the cgb package and a slightly better processor.

I read the same thing when I was considering switching away from NVIDIA but I think you'll find that most of those comments were about the cheaper 2 fan version I can't remember the exact brand. In any case if it really bothered you could always buy the cgb package, sell the 5700 and get the 2060 Super for the same price.

Ultimately, look how many pluses are on this deal vs how many pluses on the cgb deal.

          • +1

@icarus255: CGB also has gold rated rated power suppliers and great customer service.

I openly admit we are not as competitive as them :) However we do aim for the best customer experience possible.

I reckon it checks out from what I slapped together

Dislike the tiny SSD being standard, so instead comparing to the $1580 build (add 1TB M.2, subtract HDD). 256GB SSD as a boot/main SSD is to me the bare minimum, and really a 480 or even 512 one is better as a stand alone drive instead of more space between a 120GB SSD + a 1TB HDD, but otherwise, appreciate the transparency in the parts choices, that's huge in my opinion.
