  • You can get a system with similar specs for half its price. Is a Vaio really worth it?

    • +1

Where from? I've only seen a couple 13" laptops with discrete graphics and they're all around this price

      • Asus U31SD. Better specs across the board, ultraportablr and better batts.

        • +1

but no backlit keyboard and dvd drive

Heck No, Sony is the Apple of the PC pricing world.

Buying a toyota for 30K or a BMW for 70K or a Merc for 70K is it worth buying a BMW or Merc??

    • hmm BMW and Merc are the same price. Now that's the real choice. Camry Shamry.

      ** gets back into 1994 Camry *

  • Had a really bad experience buying Vaio's really bad build and annoying support plus overpriced.
I would personally get a Thinkpad X series.

    I'd rather get apple Computer

  • may as well pick up an i7 HP Dv6 at officeworks for around that price…. just saying…

  • The $400 Lenovo I picked up from MSY the other day had better specs than this..

  • I do agreed that there's better spec with better prices out there. But the laptop looks really good physically, especially the white one, and it's a Sony…:)

  • Hmmmm………choices choices……do I get this or -

    1. Samsung 350U2B-A03 from orangeIT for $699 (in store)

    12.5" screen, i5 2.9GHz, 4Gb Ram and only 1.27kg inc battery (8 -10 hrs apparently) - this is ULTRAPORTABLE!!

    1. HP DV4-3030TX from Officemax for $699

    14" screen, i7 (2nd gen) 2.7GHz, 1gb graphics; 4Gb Ram, 750Gb HDD

  • Guys, you seem to be forgetting that this one weighs 1.72kg with switchable graphics.
