Here are 2 good options for getting the most out of this starter pack. Before you activate make sure you get a referral code from a friend already with Belong or the OzBargain Belong pool for an additional $20 credit.

Option 1 (6 Months 7GB) - Start out on the $10 1GB per month plan. When the first payment date comes you'll already have 1GB data plus you get another 1GB (Double Data). The first 6 months cost is covered ($40 starter pack credit plus $20 referral credit).

Option 2 (3 Months 82GB) - Start out on the $40 40GB per month plan. When the first payment date comes you'll already have 40GB data plus you get another 40GB (Double Data). Then switch to the $10 1GB per month plan for the 2nd & remaining months. Double Data (1st month only)
DO NOT port/activate on these dates 4th, 12th, 20th, 28th. These are the start of new payment cycles. They are the same every month.

            @Arthur Dunger: The only "non-ordinary use" which may be treated as a breach in my case is a contact address being associated with more than one Belong service at your address. Cancellation isn't automatic and the address is only one factor which Belong may consider among a very large amount of more serious conditions and circumstances, for which remedies other than termination are proposed. Referral codes aren't mentioned.

              Pretty sure this would be regarded as an attempt to manipulate the system which is a breach of the "Acceptable Use Policy".

      Yes good idea & you could buy a couple now as they are valid for 12 months from the purchase date, then port to Kogan for 90 days & port back. So a 12 month Belong/Kogan sim slut plan would be $69.80 with 284GB.

      Also the $20 starter pack is $10 @ Coles until 23/06 if you don't need as much data.

    If my maths is correct, for an extra $5 you can also get 5 months with 24GB. (Activate on the $25 plan then move to the $10)

    1GB/month probably isn't quite enough for me but 5ish would be plenty.

    My $40 starter pack (for $20) might have been involuntarily activated today at the Woolworths self checkout. Before I could pay, the machine called the staff member over twice, the first time to confirm the item on the screen, and then to confirm activation. The receipt includes an approval code and "card activation could take up to 48 hours" and then a little contradictorily, "$40 activation was successful". So the idea of putting these cards aside for later may not work? BTW, the Woolworths rack also included a slightly different looking Belong $40 card "$40 for 40gb" without the words 'starter pack" which might have been a different kind of starter pack or just a recharge.       Woolworths are just registering that the starter pack has been sold. This information is most likely sent to Belong so they are aware of the purchase date. A member commented on an old Belong deal that he couldn't activate the sim when he got home because the checkout operator forgot to do this.

      Some starter packs have a sleeve on them which is what's on the OW link, they are the same thing.

      You can't use 5% discount cards at self check out, I tried and failed, paid by card at last.
      I also activated today (27th) and hopefully will get another 40GB tomorrow. I have done this before as well.

      How long did it take after receiving the "we’re working on setting up your Belong mobile service" email? I've been waiting for 2 hours with no service on my old SIM (Catch) but the email says not to insert the Belong SIM until I get a confirmation email.

        At the last stage (we're setting up your account), it got failed with message like "oops! failed, please try again" and didn't get any mail. But service got ported within few minutes somehow. I ported from circles.life (optus reseller) and I used my old Belong account though.

          Tried putting in the SIM and it turns out the port was successful even though I didn't get a confirmation! Quite confusing when the email says to wait for a confirmation before inserting the SIM.

    1) I switched on 29/06/2020 via 80$ starter plan but on 4/07/2020, its showing me Balance 60$ instead of 70$ ????

    Just a bit confused about the Referral / Promo Code. It says in the ozbargain area where you put your code in that it's the same for both BROADBAND and MOBILE. But when I look at the Belong Introduce a friend T&Cs it says that you can only refer mobile to mobile or broadband to broadband? Anyone clarify?

      should be same. I have both mobile and broadband with belong and have same referral code that i can pass on to friends.
