I've been trying to support the local chicks too but no one seems to be interested. :(

    • Maybe try moving to the north west.

    • Then get some foreign chicks

    • I prefer imported chicks

      Are they hot?

      • Depending on what sauce you smear them with…..

      • Most times yes. Sometimes they are too pale

Tried entering the code but nothing- anyone else?

Codes for last 2 days worked. Will try again later.

    • Same here, it doesn't add/respond when I enter the code also

  • what time does the code work? doesn't work for me right now

  • +1

Doesn't work for me, I can see in your description that the promo was for yesterday, although the link you provided says today.

  • +1

Can't add the code atm as well. It's saying high volume traffic

  • Im getting code is not valid

  • yeah doesn't work. Cannot add does nothing

  • invalid code

  • -4

"Our systems are receiving unusually high traffic, please try again in a few minutes. Thanks for your patience"

Uber must have fired 18% of their servers too.

  • Worked for me just now

  • Doesn't include Chargrill Charlies..very limited choices from what I can see

Finally got it to apply, but for some reason it doesn't apply to any restaurants. The following restaurants are apparently not Chicken restaurants: Oporto, Nando's, Yummy Chicken, Brodie's Chicken and Burgers, Wing Street by Pizza Hut, Alabama Wings, Red Rooster, Supreme Leader Chicken.

    Worst. Promo. Ever.

Edit: not sure why OzBargain mods cleared the reports - the code is clearly not working.

    • Code is working, for me it's only working for the resturants that are PARTCIPATING, it's up to the restaurant.

      • +2

        Which is… none of them.

        • Lol imagine being the dude defending those restaurants not participating like Oporto and Nando's… Do they even serve anything that's not chicken

          • +2

@Telios: For this 'local food fest' promotion I don't think it's designed for participation by national chains like Oporto, Nando's etc.

I have 9 in my area (click the banner in the app to see all participating restaurants) and they are all small cafes, not chains. Which has been the case daily.

I have a local Middle Eastern restaurant that wasn’t participating on “Middle Eastern” promo day - but is available on “Chicken” day now!

      This is too funny 😂

    • Agreed. Blatant false advertising. Tried 3 different locations, each one had only a few participating stores. Conveniently, none of which were allowing pick up orders!

Menulog works our way cheaper as they have many restaurants which offer discounts and free delivery.

Ordering with ubereats every item is 25% more expensive than buying direct, then add the $5-8 delivery charge. No thanks! Even with the 30% off promo means u still end up paying more than buying directly from the restaurant.

Support local chicks. Are they the ones who are in my area and want to meet up?

Why has there been this "min $20 spend" nonsense in the title for these deals? This is completely untrue; It's a MAXIMUM $20 discount i.e. spend any more than ~$70 and your discount is going to be capped at $20. I take it some people can't read fine print.

I ordered during yesterday's ME deal and spent less than $20 with no issue.

Apparently restaurants which include the name chicken in their name are not chicken restaurants for this deal (for example Gami Chicken). Misleading advertising on the part of Uber.

  • +6

It seem to be those that are have Chicken in their category rather than in their name. I also find it amusing that Belle's Hot Chicken which is promoted on Uber Eat's Food Fest page does not have chicken in its category today. I would have thought if the business is promoted on the website that and that restaurant being known for chicken and having chicken in it's name, it would be participating in this promotion. I also find it amusing that Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup is eligible.

  • Not sure if it's been noted as well, but you can stack this with Buy One Get One, Free Item and Discounted Selected Dishes. Though it doesn't stack with Spend and Save promotions.

As expected all those offering Buy One Get One have become Currently Unavailable for me in Melbourne's inner suburbs.

  • The bargain in question can only be a bargain if it's able to be utilised.

My experience from Friday and the one attempt today (3 mates/3 accounts) on 2 different nights with different devices & failed. Service nonexistent, deserves a negative vote through tangible experience. I understand that for most it works, seems there's a small portion of users having issues (inclusive of myself)

Do they offer pick up? Not paying $8 for delivery!

    • +1

In the app there is a pick up tab, not every restaurant offers it though.

    • +1

Herein lies the problem, Delivery is so random price wise and differs alot according to the restaurant even if they are close to each other, I dont quite get how the differences work but perhaps someone else knows. But yes some of them charge $8 for delivery and hence makes it quite pricey an order. Others are more reasonable but pickup is where i guess the benefits of the 30% really shines then again if you are picking up , some restaurants may give you worthwhile discounts to order directly through them and bypass ubereats.

      • Until 30th June, Uber is waiving service fees on pickup orders. So when you order for pickup, get a 30% discount, the restaurant gets 100% of the order value at Uber's expense. Go hard :)
