The ozbargain way is to make this using card board box : https://www.instructables.com/id/Make-a-Laptop-Stand-from-Ca…

    • I wouldn't leave a $1K+ device weighted at an angle to a piece of cardboard.

        Why not?

The stand is pretty much lifting one side of the laptop few centimetres above a desk. You suppose to connect keyboard/mouse or monitor and not interact directly with the laptop. If you buy the aluminium stand, there is nothing to tie or strap the laptop to the stand, its pretty much just gravity.

I made 1 using pvc pipes during the pandemic WFH in April
      https://mashable.com/2013/09/03/diy-laptop-stand/#8Z.KExJ25O…

      • Oh nice one!

      • That's so cool!!
I have the kids football net set which I bought at Kmart some time.back, the nets gone long back; so will repurpose the PVC pipes.

        Thanks for the tip.

  • Thanks, I needed something like this for my WFH setup.

Hi OP, any deals on desk mounts for using a tablet as a second screen?

  • i have one that looks the same, purchased for a very similar price, also from Aamzon AU.

Works well, just make sure the supports are slotted into the notches properly otherwise it will have a strange sag.

  • Can anyone suggest a stand which i can use for setting up my laptop above dj mixer?

  • Doesn't every ozb'er already have this laptop stand? haha

  • I bought one through FB Ads recently for about $15. It took nearly 3 weeks to come though.

    • care to share the link? do you think it is worth the dollars?

  • Recieved. I don't know if this was the cheapest price, but well worth what I paid for it. Solid build quality and frees up heaps of desk space. The industrial design is great for airflow / cooling if you've got a beefy desktop replacement laptop like me.
