Definitely not worth $9 (you'd rather go for something like mymusclechef) but for $4.50 it's a pretty solid feed. Most of the meals are ~40g of protein and are only 350-400 calories so it's quite good.

If anyone is looking to pick these up, I wasn't a fan of the chilli beef but their meals with meatballs in it are pretty nice.

Thanks OP. I was gonna buy their $99 pack next week but this is more economical. The meatball ones are pretty damn good. A few ppl complained about the chicken ones being really really chewy. I got one chewy bit and the rest were tender in a meal. I would buy again, not that chewy.

Tried the previous deal for the $99 pack. Would not recommend. Chicken was dry and tough, beef mince chewy and generally not tasty at all. The chilli was the best if the lot.

Really convenient but if you can spare some time to cook or spend a bit extra elsewhere, you should. Even top up with a protein shake for dessert if you want to hit a min protein.

    • price looked awesome but now I am undecided.

    • Same, tried four meals, none were nice, gave the rest away. Provided feedback to Core Powerfoods and they were good enough to provide a refund, which was unexpectedly great customer service. Unfortunately cannot recommend the meals (at any price). Obviously others don't seem to mind them, so YMMV.

Lol you remember the recalls? Ha

  • I bought 36 Meals, under $15 a day on food. Winning. Although its $4.86 in Darwin.

Edit: Powerfoods Pizza's are on sale too.

  • Overweight bachelor, who finds portion control an issue and cooking for one, whilst working shift work unmotivated, trying to avoid takeaways and wondering if these might be a good and easy meal alternative?

    • +2

Cheaper than takeaway. A normally one takeaway meal will cost $10-$15. 2-3 meals a day should suit you. Water is your best friend and its free (well tap water and filter water at work are free). 6am I have oats, banana/ fruits for breakfast. 10am, 2pm and 6pm meal. Fast until 6am the next day.

Buy a weeks worth, you don't like them then find alternatives. At this price have a go. Your wallet and waist will thank you. I do agree chicken isnt good cooked then frozen. Chicken is alot better fresh.

      • Thanks for reply.
I'll try a few days of these for lunch and dinner

Hey mate, try using an app like myfitnesspal and set a calorie limit at like 2300 a day. Scan everything (they have a barcode scanner) that you eat and don't go over that limit if possible. Keep at it for awhile and you will lose weight!

      • Thanks
I'll be doing that too. Downloading app as suggested.

  • The pizzas are good. Worth it at this price point.

  • Pizzas not bad.
The meatball meals are the way to go. The chicken meals are a little dry and chewy. At $4.50 each just buy n try.

  • I really liked their vegan options

  • Thanks OP I will buy at this price. Hopefully still on sale on Monday
