I was looking for a low profile mechanical keyboard since wife decided to keep my Alienware K510 herself.
It should be the lowest at the moment, others are selling at $220+
MX Red version is also available for $199.

Damn probably would have got this over the $144 razer.
I have the mx speeds and they aren't the best for typing/office use.
Maybe it's just me but I tend to get alot of double presses or accidental presses.
For gaming they are good!
I've got the strafe with silent switches and I suffer the same. Short actuation is both a blessing and a curse.
Agreed. Not sure if I'd go with silent switches again.
I just got the LP speed last week and I also get alot of double presses, etc, when typing, thought it was just me.
It's a nice keyboard, just takes a bit of time to get use to coming from a brown switch mech keyboard.
what would you recommend for typing/office that are silent enough to do the job…?
I have the Vengeance K70 Blue switches for 5 years now. Very reliable keyboard.
i have this keyboard with mx speeds, its horrendous to type on, waiting until the brown version goes on sale and i'll buy another
Is it because of accidentally triggered keys?
Great keyboard, I've been using it for over a year now and love it. Definitely prefer it over the Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum, that keyboard has a common bug that can occur where the buttons would double press sometimes. It took me so long to realise that it wasn't me double pressing the keys due to sensitivity, advantage of JBHiFi I took it right in and exchanged it with this and paid the difference. I think I paid $199 at the time when they had it on discount, so this is even cheaper.
How would the Kogan mechanical keyboard at 45.99 compare to this?
The kogan mech was so bad I sent it back
+1 to this. I bought the Kogan for as a spare and its junk. A whole row of keys had their LEDs become permanently lit to red and wouldn't revert.
I had the one with the Red switches and they were much louder than the cherry red i had in my K70 series 1.
On that note, I have the K70 RGB mk1 and its still going strong. i think it looks rather sleek and the mk.2 looks even more so
The twang was the most annoying part to me
If you want cheap mechanical keyboard, have a look at Redradgon brand. They have solid build, and come with double-shot keycaps.
Reminds me of Flaming Dragon from Tropic Thunder:

If it's true low profile you're after, have a look at Keychrome's offerings.
Presumably you mean Keychron. Is there anywhere else to get the K1 apart from mwave in Australia? They haven't had stock for a while now.
Also Logitech G815/G915/TKL if you have money to burn.
Presumably you mean Keychron
Yes, sorry. I was writing that while I had breakfast.
My colleague ordered directly off the Keychron website, although this was before the world caught fire and the AUD tanked.
I did. Went to their site and was so happy finally they're releasing brown switch for the K1 v4, but in the end the total just put me off.
US$89 + tax + US$28 shipping, conversion rate was 1AUD to 0.69USD… not so nice :(
Tax shouldn't be applicable if you live outside the US.
Probably but it did apply tax at checkout, so it was like $107 or $109 plus shipping… and I gave it up… Not just because of the price also when it comes warranty claim it could be a pain..
Ordered the K1v4 4 days ago with a 10% friends referral, and no tax added…not sure what happened when you were trying to order…all up was $107 with shipping
So I might have read it incorrectly? I will try again. Thanks 😊
Did you get an ETA? Wanting to get the K1 for the missus, was waiting for Mwave to get stock back in, but it's been a while now.
Is it just me or has the price gone up?
Looks like they updated the price. It was a "limited time" offer…
The MX Red is still $199.
Is this tax deductible? I just bought it yesterday..
I own the silver edition of this kb and can 100% recommend it, especially for that price. The switches are nothing to worry about, I originally wanted browns or blues but found my kb for a nice price and didn't realise I was using speed silvers. This might just be me but I still recommend this kb. Although iCue isn't great it'll get the job done.
