  • Wondering if this will have a US plug?

    • +6

US plug for sure. And the Ultra is 110V only.

      • Yep. With overseas electronics you often get lucky, because they run on DC and the circuitry needed to create that from mains voltage is cheap enough to make it dual 110v/220v compatible, so they can run from almost anywhere in the world.

But these are essentially just a small high pressure pump. No need for circuitry, and voltage specific. Unless buyers have a step down transformer, using it in Australia will just burn it up.

On the positive side, these are so low power(around 18w for the pump) that a transformer might be an option. Something like this should work nicely

    • and the voltage?

    • I just chat with Amazon AU customer service, it is US power. So US power plug, 110v.

  • Does this not requre power?

    • need to be plugged in, traveller only means smaller and a bit portable than the other one

Health gums n just 14 days, #1 dentists' choice.

The typos in the description are interesting.

  • go to costco i saw very simiilar set there, forgot how much

    • Think about $130 from memory

DO NOT BUY. I bought this set when I was in the States last time. Then I tried running the travel version in AU before going on a holiday, guess what, the circuit burnt with a horrible smell…The voltage is different and you need a converter if you want to use it here!

    Buy from an oz retailer!

I second this, I bought mine from the US and the motor fried when I put it in the AU plug - be careful and use a power-regulating converter

Once the magical smoke comes out, you can't put it back in.

Caution: You won’t be able to use this product in Australia before you purchase a 240V to 110V transformer and a US plug

Shaver shop has the Waterpik White Ultra Water Flosser on sale for $89.95, it has an Australian plug on it too.

do not buy this, i bought it, it sucks.. does not floss deep enough to call it a flosser. defeats the whole purpose. if u don't want smelly breath, floss as usual with the strings. don't be lazy.

    • Genuinely interested what you think of the "independent research" they cite on their marketing that says twice as good as string floss?

Think they're being selective with the area tested (ie not deep below the gumline) or are comparing vs a poor technique with string floss?

      • all marketing gimmicks, what they advertise and in real world usage are 2 different things.

total waste of money, lucky i could get a refund.

Not sure how this is supposed to be traveller size? Looks massive to me.

Why not just get the cordless, battery powered version? It's cheaper and doesn't require any transformers. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B0173PDOMA
Or the Panasonic version, which is highly rated.

  • Good price, but wrong voltage and plug.
