  • CamelCamelCamel shows that the usual price for this was $79 (so even higher than what Amazon is showing).

  • As per the deal, get the premium one. Don't get the basic one. I have the basic one and to be honest it rarely gets used, I usually go for my ratcheting screwdriver.
The lack of speed control on the basic one makes it very difficult to use, plus the battery life is less than stellar.

If anyone has a good recommendation for a cordless screwdriver I'd be curious to hear it. I've got my drill for bigger jobs but for basic computer stuff, pulling apart appliances or fixing drawers etc I'd like something small and light.

I got the ozito one because it has torque settings. Good for putting together things like Ikea furniture.

      • Link?

      • The ozito one would be nice if it had a speed control. It's a really dumb design to not include one for any type of electric drill driver

I can't be the only one who's never really had an issue with no speed and torque settings on an electric screwdriver for things like flat pack assembly or pulling apart various covers …
I find an in-built bit switching feature far more useful (I'm using the Worx one).

That said I agree adding variable speed (even if it's just two speed) on the trigger and motor can't be that expensive these days.

        • I also own the Ozito one, never really needed the speed control. Perfect for putting together furniture.

    • I'd also be interested in a recommendation.
I have a Ryobi with adjustable clutch/torque but would really like one that also had variable speed

I've had 2 of these small Bosch's over a decade, both still running. They are great as a once-in-a-while tool but way undersized for large throughput. If you are doing repairs or tinkering (design, a hobby, etc.) they are wonderful to have on the bench for quick access. If you are using them with any regularity (assembly line, ongoing construction, etc.) or larger jobs they become tiringly slow and underpowered.

The ones I have came with charging cradles. I expect not having a charging cradle makes them less attractive. One also came with adaptors allowing right angle and offset screwing which aren't used much but extremely useful the few times I've needed them.

  • Ive got the basic one and it gets used alot, i have it inside and its enough most of the time to avoid getting the 18V out of the shed.

  • It looks like an alien's probing device
    And it's a screwdriver…

I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere

  • I am so confused with these products.. Is this also used for drilling?

    • No. It is an electric screwdriver

  • Arent these kinda gutless crap? Or is the pro ok (due to shadowfax1007's comment)?

I probably don't need one.. screwdriver has worked so far.. doesn't mean I don't want to buy random stuff posted on OzB though..

  • Surely there is a Xioami one that beats this one on price but is just as good in terms of quality?

  • Appears to be sold out.

    • Ozbargained out in 20 minutes. 😂

    • +1

Yes, unfortunately got sold out quickly, so I marked it as expired.

I posted the deal first before ordering it for myself, but I still managed to get one just before it got sold out. :)

I got one of these from Ikea, Works great for the thing you need to do with something like this.

    • Strong enough to assemble IKEA tv cabinet for example? Or IKEA desk, bed frames?

      • +1

Yeah, I have used it for an Ikea desk and TV unit.. Makes it so much easier. It would be strong enough for anything at Ikea.

    • +1

      Nice.

I did not know IKEA also sold these.

      Much cheaper and looks cooler.
