Using 2 of these at the moment, one on a 34" ultrawide and one with 27"

    Not bad..

    • Which ultrawide? I have a 34" ultrawide Samsung. I thoughti t would be too heavy for something like this?

      • I have the LS34J550WQEXXY and the arm supports it perfectly.

      • +1

My x34p started sagging after a couple months.

        • Damn was looking at this for my x34p. did you move it much?

          • +5

@umadbrahhhh: Nah no movement at all after initial placement, never touched it. After about 3 or so months I started noticing it slowly lowering. Placed a glass under it to make it noticeable, and after about a week had drooped a good inch. Compared to the 5kg monitor on the other one I have, that hasn't moved even 1mm in 6 months.

          • +1

@umadbrahhhh: I have a $40 artiss gas lift monitor arm from eBay and I have an x34p and it's been perfect for over a year

        • +1

I'm using a 7kg monitor - was sagging out of the box
There is a way to tighten the sag
Remove the plastic clips on the up/down axis - ok if you break them off as you cant even see them anyway
this will expose a hex screw you can tighten

      • It's a Kogan 34" 3440x1440 100hz

It's pretty light and it's been up for 2mths now, no issues as far as I can tell..

      • Also check out this guy, my setup a bit like this but the mount on the right hand side of the desk instead.

    • Any good mount for ASUS PG348Q Ultrawide?
I have been searching for awhile

  • +4

Max weight of 6.5kg for those who are not Americans. Fantastic arm for your standard monitors. for those wondering too, these were regularly hitting $30ish pre covid.

    • Yes it was <$30 in December. Missed out on that price.

      • +1

Yeah that's when I bought mine. Zero sag on a 5kg monitor after 6 months. However it wasn't suitable for an x34p

  • I wonder why they have a screen size limit at all considering it all comes down to the weight of the monitor.

    • +6

The arms are a certain length, meaning if your monitor is bigger than the recommended size, you will hit the desk / whatever it is sitting on when attempting to turn the monitor vertical.

If you have a light weight 34" lcd, would work but cant put the monitor into portrait mode.

      • Come on! Nobody is ever going to want a 34" in portrait mode on their desk!

But yes, max height is about 40cm for the centre.

        • +5

I've got one in the campervan (34") and have it in portrait when travelling as the parrot's cage sits next to it. I had to trim down the platform it was on so i could make it portrait whilst travelling (pre-covid that is).

If the manufacturer didnt put the size limits, people would complain, people always complain.

          • +1

@MorriJ: 34" in a campervan? Most people use a laptop. What else are you cramming in there, a bathtub?
I guess it is more your TV than a desktop, in which case my point stands :-)
            Wouldn't a wall-mount swing-arm be more practical than a desk clamp??

            • +4

@bargaino: I've got it on a set of shelves with no structural points around it, so it needed to be a desk mount/clamp mount rather than wall mount. Its behind the passenger seat on top of a bunch of shelves and its the sliding door side of the van.

Having it there means it can be watched from inside the van or alternatively you can open the sliding door and it swings out of the van and can be watched from outside the van as well. All the electrics are there; the PS4, the netgear nighthawk, the shield etc, so it works :).

It's got enough of a setup for 2 people; outdoor roof mounted solar shower; nearly 1kw of solar panels, 480ah AGM batteries; double bed; sliding storage; fridge; cupboards; the usual :).

              • +1

@MorriJ: Damn, your campervan is more pimped-out than my house! :P

              • @MorriJ: I'm inspired! May we see some pictures pretty please?

Some of your parrot would be nice too!

        • I do…

My set up is a dell 49" ultra wide, and my old 34" ultra wide in portrait orientation. I have all my messaging apps (Apple messages, slack, whatsapp etc) and calendar open on the 34 which is off to the side.

admittedly, this is overkill. but I had a spare 34" which I might as well use… :P

          • @sol95: Wouldn't you be better off mounting the 34" above the 49" (vertically stacked)? I would have thought that would be a more ergonomic setup! :)

            • @caprimulgus: I tried mounting it above the 49", but I found it distracting.

Also, my desk is an L-shaped desk where you actually sit in the middle and have both sides at a 45 degree angle either side of you. This means I actually move my chair from side to side a fair bit, so the 34" vertically mounted to the right works for me :)

      • Ok I guess that works in that case. I don't imagine too many people use vertical anyways.

        Cheers mate 👍

    • Might be a weight distribution thing?

  • $37.95 seems to be the usual normal price

    • I bought one of this last week for $44.20. You would save $6.20 but again $6 shipping fee for non-prime buyer

  • +1

Have used a couple of these for a year or so now, pretty happy with them.

  • any recommendation for a 49" ultrawide?

  • Nice product. See previous comments.

This vs the one for sale at Aldi Special buys tomorrow?

    • This. They are the and just rebranded.

    • Aldi one has USB ports, same kg rating, but $22 more expensive. So unless you value USB ports for $22 go with Amazon

    • +1

Aldi one you can return within 60 days for any reason.

Plus you will actually have it tomorrow vs waiting for US package to arrive.

      • Good points!

      • +1

Good point but if I had a chance, I'd rather hide my usb outlets than having exposed cables on my table top. Also Screenmounts are in Australia. I ordered from them on ebay a couple months ago in the early AM, it literally arrived the next day mid/late afternoon. It was unreal

        • +1

Just on that point. Ordered yesterday at around 11am. Got a AusPost notification at 5pm last night. Package dropped off at 8am this morning.

Fastest I've ever had anything delivered.

  • +1

Good price. These guys are great to deal with

  • bought this last time it was on amazon special..can't seem to get the VESA mount to fit my Kogan 34" curved screen though…doesn't fit into the hanging mould of the back of the kogan monitor unfortunately…

    • get a vesa adapter plate?

what's the spacing for your 34" vesa thread holes?

      I have the same arm and it does 75mm x 75mm and 100mm x 100mm

check and see if your's is 200mm x 200mm which is what Tv mount uses.

    • If it's the same white 100hz one as mine, it comes with an adapter/spacers in the box I believe.

Check the manual out, I thought the same thing for a long time haha

Edit: They're long metal extensions that come with it, checked mine.

      • Would you be able to post a picture of these along with some basic measurements? I must have thrown mine in the bin along with the box. I had to make do with some M4 bolts from Bunnings but I'm not 100% confident in their VESA mount ability.

          https://imgur.com/a/vowDu3d

Best I can do, mounted it a while ago..

I guess I also had to find another screw (I literally dropped one inside the monitor, not getting that back) and I put washers in as I think I wasn't really comfortable with the amount of grab by the bolt head.

        • You can dreel the edges off the top part to make it fit into the recessed hole. That's what I did and it fit fine.

  • Will this stand be good for my setup? It's a 29" ultrawide monitor and it's gonna be fastened to a glass table.

    • +7

Clamp mounts and glass tops should never be tested imo lol… The results coukd be quite shattering.

      • Well I presumed it's a toughened glass (tough enough for a bit of clamping force?) since it's a computer table after all.

Anywayz, might take your advise and forget about the idea. Thanks.

        • You'd just need to put some strips of wood between the clamp and glass on both sides to protect the glass

  • Got the double, it's awesome.

  • So you have to drill a hole in the desk?

  • +1

I had the dual F160 but had to sell it because my old Dell u2711 is too heavy. It still works and not really looking to buy a new monitor. Any recommendations on a gas lift dual monitor mount for heavier monitors?

  • I have had this one for nearly a year and has been holding 24" Dell Monitor consistently.

  • Have 5 of these now, all holding different 27" monitors, they are doing great

  • Except for the yellowish logo, everything else looks great. Anyone please share if the logo can be peeled off?

    • +1

Looks to just be a resin sticker so should be able to take it off, not that you'd notice it day to day anyway with it being behind the monitor.

    • +1

In worst case black tape or black nail polish should help.

    • +2

      yep, peels right off

    • +1

Comes off so very easily. Just standard double sided tape but comes off 100%clean

  • F100a anyone?

  • I like to have my monitor as close to the wall as possible (without being mounted on the wall). What's the minimum amount of space that these mounts will consume?

    • +1

They swing right in so it'd be pretty close, maybe 50mm?

      • amazing. I'm sold

    • I too will be using this method

    • I'd like to know too. Based on the pictures, it's not obvious whether you can extend the arm fully (ie to its maximum height) along the wall. Can someone who owns one confirm please?

  • Got one for my secondary, works well and looks neat

  • Ive been waiting for this. Thanks :)

  • Will this fit 27lg850 well?

Edit : just read its not VESA…

    • It is vesa, "VESA cоmpliаnt min 75x75mm tо mаx 100x100mm"

    • +1

I have the LG850 and have tried using this exact monitor arm - while the spacing of the mounting holes is correct, the actual bracket is too big and doesn't fit flush with the monitor. Could probably get around it by using some spacers and longer screws but I couldn't be bothered.

    • +1

i have this mount for the 27lg850. you have to file down the corners on the mount to make it fit. takes a few minutes

      • Was gonna buy for the same monitor, is that the only thing that has to be done?

        • yep. edit: actually i took off the yellow stickers as well for the aesthetics

    • I got this twin arm one on a deal a while back to mount a 32" TV above my gaming monitors. I just fixed a piece of small timber to the back of the TV via the vesa mounts and then mounted both arms to the timber. Its been working great

      • Can you give me a shot of your setup? Was thinking of doing something similar.

      • Bought a mount from Selby last night to do top and bottom mount once my new monitor arrives, as the NB won't raise my monitor high enough. Should've thought of some DIY but my monitor is heavy enough as is.
Mount from Selby if anyone's wondering: https://www.selby.com.au/tv-brackets-stands/monitor-mounts/c…

    • +4

if youve got the desk space, you get a lot more flexibility just buying 2 separate arms

  • bought one.

  • Screenmounts are selling an F80 with a higher weight rating (9kg vs 6.5kg) on eBay for the normal price of $44.20
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-F80-2-to-9kg-Full-Motion-Gas…

Might be a better option for those with larger monitors.
