For an extra $16 you could get this kit Samsung B-Die 14-14-14-34 @ 3200. Would likely do less <C16 at 3600

Why would that get down voted? Its a superior ram at hardly any more price

      • +4

        Because RGB faster? ;)

    • +2

Those two kits of Ram are not in the same category.
The sort of person that would be looking at an RGB kit is unlikely to sacrifice that for the indeterminate advantage afforded by Samsung b-dies.

      • The other important factor to consider you are comparing ram with higher speed but higher latency vs lower speed lower latency. Not sure how much performance difference in real life

        • +1

          Corsair CL18 @ 3600mhz = 10.01ns
          GSkill C14 @ 3200mhz = 9.03ns

Yeah there is a noticeable difference between the 2 BUT its generally extremely use case scenario.

As a somewhat fan of RGB Ram i do wish however corsair would put the faster Dominator series ram into the Vengence style package.

I bought 16GB DDR4 3200MHz 3 years ago for under $170, my how times have not changed

Back in the day we would be at double the capacity for the same price

yes. isn't it amazing how prices go up and down according to the AUD dollar comparison, as well as supply and demand. who could ever imagine such a wonder happening every day under our very noses?

      I bought 32GB (2x 16GB) of these same brand RGB DDR4 sticks late in 2019 for $271.

Also these are $1 cheaper than the faster RAM prices from last year - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/510192

The 'E' series are the faster set of RAM, better to choose them imo.

Also you need to verify if this RAM is AMD certified with your motherboard manudfacturer's list of compatible RAM - for example the 32GB kit (2x16GB) has two different model numbers - CMW32GX4M2Z3200C16 and CMW32GX4M2C3200C16.

The CMW32GX4M2Z3200C16 is certified while the CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 is not (and is slightly cheaper). Some people with the CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 have reported in various forums that their RAM has occasional issues with their AMD system.

They also have the i7 10700K for $679.. great price too. Find their prices quite competitive, if not the lowest around.

  • They were $129 at Computer Alliance just late last year

How is this even an ozbargain when there's 16gb kits going for $100-$105

For $200 you can get 32gb yet this deal is $16gb for $177 lol
