  • There is no price.

  • Maybe it's free?

My quick search for 2C showed mostly Indian web sites. And one article saying that it not as “smart” as the other xiaomi smart purifiers (no mi home app support)? Seems like a stripped down “2H” to make it more affordable for certain market?
    https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.91mobiles.com/hub/mi-air…

    • The 2H is the same price with Kogan, free delivery with Kogan First (I used a free trial). https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/xiaomi-mi-air-purifier-2h-xiaom…

I understand the H in 2H is for HEPA and am unsure what the C stands for here.

Word of warning that when I purchased it a few weeks ago they were meant to send the aussie power cable, still waiting for it but customer service said they'd give me a $5 refund. The filter was a bit dirty too and I got $15 store credit.

        Cheap?
P.S. 2C does have HEPA filter.

2C doesn't have the smart home connectivity features apparently.

    • Pardon my ignorance but what benefits would a smart home air purifier have besides turning on and off via app?

Been looking at once of these as the dust/stuffiness in my apartment is getting pretty meh. White fur cat definitely not helping things no matter how much I chase him with a vacuum

      • With the smart app, you can program on/off schedule, view details like the filter status, malfunction alert, pollutant % etc.

You can automate to run only when you're not home or only when you're in a particular room. Smart homes are really about automating things so that you don't have to think about it or action anything - ideally smart devices should work autonomously.

Correct, if you have IFTTT or similar smart app, you can integrate the smart purifier with other smart devices (sensors) on the network to say turn on when your front door is open, when you turn your light on…

I've got the 2H. The app is pretty basic with four settings from memory -on/off, automatic, manual speed(slider bar), and night mode. Can also set a schedule and some other things like the led light level. The various models have different sensors, the 2H has humidity and temperature.

It integrates with google home and their controls. The G Home app is simply on/off but you get the option of voice controls to turn on and off.

        • Google and Alexa are devices that integrated into the smart home they are not "the smart home". Software hubs like Home Assistant or Hubitat are the actual Smart Home (or brains of the Smart Home if you like).
Using these Smart Home software hubs enables far more options and customisable functionality than the devices or the device apps offer.
It's amazing how much of your life you can automate with only a hand full of cheap devices.

  • Is there a way to add these to the AU region?

The 2H model is discontinued - although there are residual stock still being sold.

The latest 2C model consumes less than 1 kWh a day, so it's designed for 24/7 operation and easy to maintain.

    • Pretty sure the 2C isn't the latest - the 3 has been out for a while…

From my understanding, Both comments are wrong

2C, 2H and 3 are all current in-market products, the discontinued one is 2S

2C => Latest Basic model, No Wifi and App integration, No LED display, HEPA 13 filter, more Air flow than 2H (350 m3/h)
2H => Latest Mid-level model, Have Wifi and App integration, No LED display, HEPA 13 filter, less Air flow than 2C (310 m3/h)
3 / 3H => Latest Advance model, Have Wifi and App integration, Have LED display, HEPA 13 filter, even more Air flow (380 m3/h)

2S (discontinued) => superseded model of 3H, Have Wifi and App integration, Have LED display, EPA 11 filter, less Air flow than 2C (310 m3/h)
Pro (seems to be discontinued) => Have Wifi and App integration, Have LED display, EPA 11 filter, maximum Air flow (500 m3/h)

    • The latest 2C model consumes less than 1 kWh a day, so it's designed for 24/7 operation and easy to maintain.

That is not exclusive to the 2C.
The 2H uses 2-31W, therefore 0.744 KW a day at most on full power. I am sure all Xiaomi air purifiers are "designed for 24/7 operation and easy to maintain".

  • Dumb question = would this get rid of animal smells hahah
