I’ve used it a number of times. Takes a fair amount of effort of your meat is fully defrosted, you have to push down pretty damn hard to get it to mince. Easily minces frozen/semi frozen chunks of meat though.
We usually buy from a local butcher and have him mince it on the spot.

I'm a big fan of the KitchenAid mixers and attachments, but to be honest I'll never see myself using this particular one.
If I want mince, I'll buy mince.
