amaysim 100GB Data + Unlimited Talk & Text in Aus + 19 Countries for $30/28 Days + First Month Free (Herald Sun Plus Rewards)

490

EDIT: amaysim direct link no longer works. They have changed the URL, so sign up to Herald Sun for $5 and can still sign up for the the deal. I believe it expires in July.

Extremely good value in my opinion, first month free is an added bonus!

"Need" to signup to Herald Sun, but they are running a promo $5 a month for the first 3 months, including Weekend Paper Delivery with no lock in contract. So you can signup for 1 month and claim the reward.

An exclusive offer for +Rewards Members! Get amaysim’s epic $30 mobile plan with 100GB data & Unlimited Talk & text PLUS get your first renewal complimentary (This plan usually gets you 30GB mobile data, so that’s an extra 70GB data just for you!). Renews at $30/28 days after initial purchase and you keep the 100GB data/28 days for as long as you stay on this plan.

The plan includes:
A huge 100GB every 28 days
Unlimited standard talk & text in Australia and to 19 countries
Optus 4G Plus network
No lock-in contracts
Free standard SIM delivery

From the look of previous similar deals, Amaysim have said not to share the link. However it is a generic code - I have checked through my Herald Sun account as well as a couple of friends.

  • Does anybody knoe how is Amaysim in Regional Vic? Thanks

    • +2

I currently use Amaysim (moved from Telstra), and partner has proper Optus. We are located near Bendigo, and up until Covid, I would say it worked better than Telstra for me in my area. Since Covid though, there are a lot of spots in Central Bendigo where mobile data is almost unusable (1.3Mbps max - I cannot speak for Telstra in this instance). Have no idea why. We both use iPhone 8's and we experience the same coverage though.

For reference, I get 82.9Mbps at home in Huntly.

People with acn number can register $40 for 200gb 28 days forever

    • Port number only offer end 31 may

    • Is this the energy offer? Please link for me?

    • is there a link for this 200gb $40

      • same here, they seem to keep posting an affiliate link and having it deleted, how to get this . I have an ACN.

  • It doesnt say anything about the free month in the link? I was just gonna port across for one month

    • "PLUS get your first renewal complimentary". Just tested the link and offer still seems active and charge is $0.

  • Can I use this in a 4G dongle for internet?

    • Yes

  • op ref running promo's, can you sign up for a total cost of only $5 for the digital subscription instead for 3 months account access then cancel it and still get assess to the amaysim offer thus sign up for 1 month free and then cancel? thus total cost out of pocket only $5.? does this involve a credit check and can i use a ACN business number to sign up for offer?

  • Do we need to sign up to Herald Sun? The "Go To Deal" is directly taking to Amaysim checkout with promo added and $0 payment.

    • +3

You do not. The deal has been edited to take you straight through to Amaysim site.

      • Thanks for the clarification.

      • Never mind. I was following wrong link.

  • Wow! I have signed!

Is this for new customers only?
Edit - looks like it. But I can port out and back again. Any suggestions for the best peeps to go to for a port out?

I think anyone would do. You could try getting a Lebara from Coles ($2 sim with no credit might work or get a $5 which is the small plan usually $15).Last time I moved from catch to Lebara and only Took half hour on a Saturday morning

      • Coles is down the road, i'll get one of the $2 with no credit, perfect!

      • Doesn't Lebara need recharge to activate? I think only Coles $2 SIM activates without recharging.

        • Why dont you just order new number?

        • cheers mate, i'll do the coles then.

          • @Lord Ra: How did it go? Coles and Amaysim both use Optus network and for some people porting within Optus network is a PIA. Hopefully yours worked well both times.

        • You're right, @bajirao,for lebara - To activate a $2 SIM you must enter a recharge PIN or purchase a plan with a credit card.

So I'm going to Coles now.

          • +1

@Lord Ra: Yeah I did a successful port out to Coles $2 SIM. Selected "Recharge later" during activation. Can receive calls and text (no outgoing).

            • @bajirao: Arrrghhh wish I had seen this earlier. I went with Vodafone just to be super safe. They forced me to do a $10 top up. Good to know that Coles let's you skip the top up. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Someone should come up with a small list of pre paid cards that do and do not charge money.
My out of pocket costs are now $2+$10+$5 = $17
              To get this deal.

    • What about Amaysim to belong (grab a 20$ credit from referral and just activate a 10$ plan) and then back to amaysim straightaway?

  • Good find.

    • Funnily enough, it was a telemarketer who called me to offer the $5 deal. Looked up online, and there it was.

I only get it for supercoach generally, but sometimes they have great deals.

  • if this on a plan thus credit check or prepaid? seems like its a good deal if free for 28days and Cashback. which countries list?

  • When will this offer expire ?

  • Broken link or OzBargained?

  • that was a good deal but quick to end.

  • I knew they would pull it if it came on here. Dammit!

    • +1

It is not expired, but they have changed the link. If you signup to Herald Sun, it still works. Just checked.

      • Then, before access amaying sim. this is meaning i must sign up with Herald Sun $5?

        • I'm just on the Herald Sun site and it looks like its $5 for 3 months.Seems very ambiguous because you could also read it as 5 per month for the first 3 months. Can anyone confirm that the deal is still there if you sign up?

          • +1
          • @verden: It looked like we are being advertised for online Herald Sun register? :)

          • @verden: @verden happy to confirm this for you now.
            Payment Terms
$5 billed per month for the first 3 months. After the first 3 months, it is $30 billed monthly.

            Next Payment
            $5.00 on 28/06/2020

Signed up just now but can't see/understand how today to the 28th is one month.

Oh well. I'll be cancelling end of the month.

I'm on the Circles Life 100GB $28/month plan but only until December 2020. I'm thinking about switching to this Amaysim 100GB plan so I don't have to shop around in December 2020. Are there other alternatives for 50GB+ a month at this price range? I haven't been able to find any.

  • Is there credit check?
And why do some providers say it is not for broadband use -curious about it.
I'm with catch at the moment, so I'll need to Port out to Coles and then apply for this code?
    Thanks

  • Anyone have the new link? Probably still worth subscribing for $5 per month for first 3 months as you get first month free with Amaysim.

  • It appears my SIM card was sent pre-activated. As a result when I entered the sim number today it says I only have 12 days remaining out if 28. This is crazy. My sim only arrived a few days ago.

    • +1

Contact Amaysim via chat and they should be able to fix it for you.

      • +1

Many thanks that worked. Plan reset to start from today.
It’s good I didn’t wait longer to check the sim status in my dashboard.

        • Strange. I ported over and kept my number and it waits for me to click activate sim before my plan clock kicks in. Did you port in or get a new number?
