  • OP, worth listing BATTLETECH Mercenary Collection in title and price as that's a historical low I believe

    • I could see a lower price of $22.60 (83% off) from Gamebillet on 30-1-2020. I've never used them before.

For those unaware, Battletech has an active modding community that has released mods that include greatly expanding the playable map, tech advances, a much greater number of units and more.

Highly recommended for any Battletech fan.

    • G'day Rathnor long time no see. I just started another playthrough of the Roguetech Mod, so much better than Vanilla. You still on MWO with Cashel and the crew?

      • Hey mate, I keep going back to Battletech too. I’m still with MWO and playing comp but most guys have moved on. Cashel stopped playing the day his daughter was born. Do you use discord? We have an ISRC channel.

Disgusting pricing on the DLC. Why does the season pass cost more than the complete collection? I backed the game on Kickstarter but have yet to pick up the DLC. I'm in no hurry as it's obvious they don't care about the people that helped them make the game a reality.

    • X as a service is the way. Apparently.

    • Get the Roguetech Mod, free from the modding community and blows any of the DLC away.

  • OK so this one is more like MechCommander than MechWarrior?

      Correct.
If you want more action than strategy, MechWarrior Online (mwomercs.com) is the official free to play game and overall pretty good for incidental giant robot stomping fun.

In-game currency is easy to come by and even premium currency is doled out in generous amounts during frequent events. I spent about a hundred bucks on it some years ago and now, seeing how easy it's been to get premium currency in-game and seeing the quarterly sales on premium-only items, $10-15 would have been ample.

If you decide to give it a go, the most important tip is that it's a team game and there's a learning curve. You'll get very quickly wrecked and very frustrated if you run off alone in-game.

      • OK Cheers.

I purchased GTA Online 4 weeks ago ( eye roll) and still playing that, but I have always wanted to get back into MechWarrior.

      • My little LOVEs those giant robot. I uses it as leverage for bargaining chore works

Mechwarrior 5 is also available on gamepass for PC.

  • How good was MechWarrior 2!

Has there been a game anything like it since?

    • +1

If you don't mind multiplayer then check out MWO (Mechwarrior online) it is free2play so nothing to lose.

      • Okay nice. I’m more of a single player fan, but I’ll take a look. Remember how good the opening to these games were? :)
