I test install lots of apps. You will be surprised at how much stuff is left over in the registry + folders after add/remove uninstall.

Revo is the best because it lists exactly all the registry entries + folders/files it will remove (you can choose to remove only certain items)

When you uninstall an app via Revo, it will launch the default App uninstall program, once that's finished, it'll look for any "left over" items in the registry/folders.

No, I get rid of everything, but I agree, Windows leaves a lot of shit leftover.

    • You obviously haven’t had much to do with your pc

If this can uninstall Adobe Creative Suite programs then it's worth it. Can't seem to get rid of it unless I log into Adobe, which I can't do.

    • surely you can just delete the directory directly lol, if not then try in safemode. Not saying you shouldn't get revo but if you just want to get rid of one thing you can probably do it manually.

I use Geek Uninstaller, does the job for me and it's free.

This is no hype, I had issues with my motherboard aura sync software which is aids. Tried everything and this was the only software that cleaned all traces of it from my OS.

I only used the free trial version which expires after 14 days…

    • ya revo has some specific database for shitty software and if you are trying to uninstall one it downloads the recommended settings/database files or something to remove all the traces that software left.

  • I'm yet to find an uninstaller that works with the trial for Murgee auto clicker. Any suggestions?

Or, you can do this, Install revo uninstall pro version dont open it after install and go to programdata/vsrevogroup/revouninstaller and change the .lic file to read only in properties and open the program it runs on unlimited trial.

      • poor thing.. how will businesses run and get money if we trick them?

    • have you actually tried it and confirm it works?

      • been using it from almost 1year without any problems. If you have problem with latest version download older versions from 2019 if you can.

    • nice tip ;)

  • What do you do when you want to uninstall Revo?

    • +1

      Use Revo Uninstaller Pro Portable.

    • +1

      Click auto destruct. Run.

  • Find the "uninstaller.exe" and then boom gone

  • meh, keep all files in the cloud and do a fresh windows reinstall every now and then, nothing works better

    • If you have good enough internet.. but even then

  • "Bulk crap uninstaller" - great, free, open source software (so no need to worry what the devs are getting out of it =P)

    https://www.fosshub.com/Bulk-Crap-Uninstaller.html

  • Isn't… This free? Been using the free version since forever.

    • There's been two versions, free and Pro, since forever also.

You can see the differences here: https://www.revouninstaller.com/products/revo-uninstaller-fr…

It used to be the free version was geared more towards 32 bit Windows while the Pro version had full support for 32 and 64 bit but it doesn't seem to mention anything about that now.
