Is it cheaper to go with the 60 month payments? Am I missing something here?

Have you factored in the $1,888 no-interest loan from the Vic Gov in your calculations?

You pay this off once this system is installed at approximately $40/month over 4 yrs with no interest to the Vic Gov. The thinking behind this from the government is that it helps you with the initial out-of-pocket investment and effectively the electricity bill savings pay off the repayments.

So if you took up the $0 upfront, you'd be paying $29/fortnight over 60 months to the eko energy finance provider plus $40 a month to the Vic Gov. These payments only start once this system is installed.

Hope this clairifies. If you'd like to discuss further feel free to book in a convenient time to discuss over the phone, facetime, zoom or MSTeams here - https://info.ekoenergy.co/meetings/kez-hassan1

    • I assume the repayments don’t take into account the Vic Gov loan
      So over 60 months pay $3,770 + $1,888 loan

      • Yes, that is how it would work out.

I have existing Solar Pre-wire in my new house build. What would be the upgrade cost for upgraded panels and Fronius inverter, double storey single phase?

    • Same here, thanks

    • Which panels are you considering upgrading to? QCells 330W or Sunpower 325w or Sunpower 360w?
