Does this notify when Mother-in-laws arrive?

    • +3

A crucifix on the front door usually helps ensure they don't cross the threshold.

  • +2

8 channel, but you probably should mention that only 4 cameras are included, not bury that deep in the page.

    LUMUS deal please!

    • +1

Good news: next week Lumus will be on pre-sale

      • Argus 2 deal?

        • For Argus 2 Reolink only has bundle deal of Argus 2 with its skin full suit, check the bottom of this page:https://reolink.com/au/flash-sale/

        • +2

Argus 2 is cheaper on Amazon

          • +2

@DrKazanovaKK: And cheaper again on eBay. Weird how all these other sellers and platforms are cheaper than the official Reolink store 🤨

            • @Chickenleg: It's because of the exchange rate and the stock is very limited. So our discount is smaller at the moment.

          • @DrKazanovaKK: Yes, i bought it for $114 ..Delivered!

    • Hello, Lumus is estimated to arrive on May 13, only 20 pcs available. Good luck.

    This is a good price..
The cameras are worth around $80 each (and considered good value at that price compared to other brands).

So for $180 you get an 8-channel NVR with 2TB hard drive, including manufacturer tech support and firmware updates for both the NVR and the cameras.

I have a Hikvision 8-ch NVR that cost me around $500 from China with no hard drive and no cameras.
Im running 3 Hikvision plus 2 new Reolink cameras (ONVIF profile) off it and have been very happy with the Reolinks.

Hell they even give you a mouse, HDMI cable, and 4x 18 meter CAT5 network cables !
Plus 2 year warranty and 30 day money back guarantee.
    Must resist…………………….

I only just got my Hikvision driveway camera "line crossing detection" working in HomeAssistant to pop up a notification on my LG TV and ding the Xiaomi gateway/doorbell.

    • Where it says 4x18m cat5 network cables included?

      • In the list of what's included..

        • Yes…right down the bottom of page.

          • @MuddyClear: I caved and bought one… time to retire my 4 year old Hikvision NVR and 2 megapixel cameras..

AU$ 508.27 on my Coles Mastercard (plus around $5 worth of flybuys points)

    Hello my good friend,

Can you please do a similar offer on the one with 2 Bullets and 2 domes and also the one with 4 bullets please?

    I love reolink long time.

  • Check RLK8-410B2D2-4MP 20% off https://reolink.com/au/product/rlk8-410b2d2/
    And RLK8-410B4-5MP 5% off https://reolink.com/au/product/rlk8-410b4/
    Hope that helps

    • what is the main difference between bullet and dome. which one is better?

      • Hey, depends on where you want to install the cameras. Bullet ones fit wall and ceiling perfectly and dome ones fit the ceiling better.

      • You may notice that the specifications differ little.

  • +1

It's this right H.264 video recording? Whoa there is going to be some huge video files

    • +1

Yes my friend. RLK8-520D4 supports H.264. If you need to record longer, you may reduce Bit-rate. This system comes with a 2TB HDD, it can record 8 days under the default Bit-rate

    • +1

We are getting about 4-5days of recording with our reolink system, 2 being 4K, 6 others are 5MP.

      • Is that the H.264 compression? That's not too bad for 8 cameras, I'd only be looking to use 3 out of this system

  • +3

Does the NVR support a total of 8x 5MP cameras actually running at 5MP (if I buy additional RLC-520's)? Or would I need to drop the camera resolution (to say 2MP?) to have them all recording with acceptable performance?

    • It depends on your broadband. Upload speed must be at least 48Mb/s

      • I'm talking about the NVR recording from 8x cameras all running at 5mp.

        Not viewing recordings remotely.

        • Absolutely no problem.

      • We have 8 cameras on our system, they are all reolinks and 2 of those are 4k. Our upload speed is only 5Mb/s and we can still view the system with little to no issues remotely. I haven’t noticed any issues viewing from the NVR.

  • Can the RLC520 be wall mounted or does it need a wall mount adapter?

    • +1

It's wall-mounted, no need of adapter

  • is this $30 off code applicable to this particular bundle or site wide? any min. purchase requirement?

  • RLC-522 pre-sale deal please!

    • -1

Sorry that we have no stock right now. We will do our best. You may choose Notify Me When Ready.

  • On a side note … Where can i purchase an extra magnetic wallmount for Argus 2 ?

  • +3

Highly recommend these. I paid $900 all up for the 8 channel NVR with six of these 5mp cameras plus two of the 8mp ones for out the front. Simple installation. Got my whole house covered plus inside the garage. Even bought one of the 4mp inside cameras as a baby monitor with pan and tilt. All can be accessed through the one easy to use app. Exceptional value for what you get, especially when you compare the pricing to hikvision for example.

My only complaint with reolink is that they have no video doorbell. That would complete my system. Instead I had to get a different brand which is a tad annoying

  • bought 1. Thanks.
    I paid AU$533.44 as PayPal's conversion rate is 1 AUD = 0.61287 USD

    • Paid in USD using my Citibank Card, worked out to $508.27 after using Citibank's conversion rate.

      • +1

I just ordered 8 hours after you, and my Coles Mastercard is the exact same amount, $508.27

    • Yikes. Need to get a card with no conversion fees like twisted300 above

  • is the 5mp sufficient compared to the 8mp? I noticed the 5mp has 4 x optical zoom and wider angle

    • Honestly the 5mp is excellent. I have the RLC-511 which is 5MP with 4 x optical zoom do go down my driveway and onto the road and it does an excellent job of catching peoples faces and their numberplates before they even step on.

  • I like this deal but with 2 cameras

  • I want to install some but am afraid to walk around in my roof cavity. Any tips for working up there and laying the cable?

    • My roof space is too narrow to walk around so probably wifi ip cameras are better suited.

      • I've actually got one of the Reolink Argus 2 already, it's been pretty good but is really slow to load the feed/load videos most of the time. Sometimes I have to reload the feed a few times before it will load without failing. I've got google wifi so im pretty sure it just doesn't like a mesh setup. One of my pucks is like 4m away from the camera with only one door in the way so not sure what that's about..

I was thinking wired poe cameras would be a more reliable and faster option :)

        • Definitely more reliable and faster but is it doable for an amateur diy-er?

  • Guys i want to get one. But i am not comfortable installing the cameras. any idea how much it will cost on average in brisbane to install 4/5 camera system?
the other thing i can do is Get EUFY 2C 4 camera system which i can install myself. can you guys please suggest.

Also for a rectangular property will 4 camera be enough or i need more?

  • Does Reolink's camera only works with Reolink's NVR? Can it pair with other NVRs?

    • I have 2 Reolink 4 megapixel cams that work fine with my Hikvision NVR using either ONVIF or RTSP profiles.

Note - their higher end 4K (8 megapixel) NVR/cameras will only work with Reolink hardware at this point.

      • thanks mate! is your Reolink 4mp camera the RLC-410?

        • Actually after checking I actually have two 5 Megapixel models - the 'RLC-420-5MP' - which I got for $56 ea delivered in a previous sale.
So now I will have six 5 Megapixel cameras.

Looks like the 'RLC-520-5MP' (for $170 each !!!) is the replacement model.

          • @systmworks: Yes, RLC-520 is the updated model of RLC-420-5MP with a different appearance.

            • @Camila Li: Out of interest why did you guys change from full metal on the 420 to an inferior plastic housing that can be twisted off way too easily on the 520? The IR placement is better on the 520 but the housing is a massive downgrade.

    • Hello, we have not tested our cams with NVRs from other brands, so we cannot guarantee that it will work well.

  • +1

    Ordered one. Code still working.

  • Do these cameras run with blue iris?

    • +1

I believe these 5MP cameras probably do - they work with my Hikvision NVR via ONFIV profile - but beware the 4K (8 megapixel) Reolinks will only work with their NVR.

    • Hello, Reolink products work best with Reolink App on mobile phones and Reolink Client software on computers. The other softwares supported are listed below:

Blue Iris, Milestone, iSpy, Digital WatchDog, Sighthound Video, SecuritySpy, Synology, QNAP, IP Cam Viewer, TinyCam, Evocam, etc.

  • My NVR and 4 camera bundle was delivered this morning (in QLD).
Looks good - well packaged. Haven't powered up yet.

  • Any chance of this deal (or one very similar) coming back around soon?

    • Check there Aliexpress store bought the 4k kit for $580, this version ends up being around 430. There low stock so can't post the deal
