240

New Historical Low for the game on PC. If you have Humble Choice you can take an extra $5.40 off. Enjoy

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order™ is a new, third-person action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment. This narratively driven, single-player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. On a quest to rebuild the fallen Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities and master the art of the iconic lightsaber - all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.

While mastering your abilities, players will engage in cinematically charged lightsaber and Force combat designed to deliver the kind of intense Star Wars lightsaber battles as seen in the films. Players will need to approach enemies strategically, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your Jedi training to overcome your opponents. Solve the mysteries that lay in your path to rebuild the Star Wars fallen order.

Star Wars fans will recognize iconic locations, weapons, gear and enemies while also meeting a roster of fresh characters, locations, creatures, droids and adversaries new to Star Wars. As part of this authentic Star Wars story, fans will delve into a galaxy recently seized by the Empire. As a Jedi hero-turned-fugitive, players will need to fight for survival while exploring the mysteries of a long-extinct civilization all in an effort to rebuild the remnants of the Jedi Fallen Order as the Empire seeks to erase the Jedi completely.

  • should i get this or the PS4 version?

    • +2

depends how good you PC is

      • a relatively old 1080, 16gb, i7-3770?

        • +2

1080 is better than 80% of gamers. 3770 is a bit behind most modern requirements but still a decent chip. You’ll be fine playing this, even on high settings. If you want to play on controller, you can connect one to your PC. But it’s a no-brainer to get the better visuals and performance on PC.

          • @Zazer: cool, thanks! I was mulling over the ps4 version over pc as i was not too sure if the specs for a gen 3 i7 still can cut it.

            • +1

@slowmo: Go for the PC version. It'll be better than or at the least equivalent to playing it on a PS4. Few months down the line, you decide you want to crank up the visuals or frame rate more, you can upgrade your PC and do so, no problem. Massive selection of parts available to suit your every specific need, plenty of people wiling to offer advice. On PS4, this means buying a new console, which has no release date yet but hinted at holiday season. Plus a new console will be more expensive than a cheap CPU upgrade.

1070, 16gb, 7700k here and runs smoothly on epic settings.

    • +1

PS4 actually has some lagging issue on this game. Even for the Pro sometimes FPS drops to 30-40.

  • Lookslike a great game. Is it worth it?

    • +3

I personally would wait for $25-$30 price range, as I still have a huge backlog.

    • +3

If you have time, you can finish it easily within a month using Origin Access Premier for $20

      • It is barely 12-15 hours of gameplay… defintely agree you can finish it in a month.
It was a good game, although personally I much prefer an open-world as opposed to this (semi-)linear style.

        • I'm reading from Steam reviews that's it's 20hrs to complete it fully. I've seen plenty of reviews on there with 25-28hrs gameplay also. I know they're likely taking their time but for those not rushing through there's a bit more time in it.

          • @[Deactivated]: You're probably right. I used a bit of guidance to find all the chests, but I'm not an avid gamer by far. I did explore 95-100% on all 4 planets though. Didn't find every seed for the terranium but if you meant completeness like that then sure point taken for 20h.

I personally found it a little expensive for the gameplay duration. It was a fun game and I don't regret buying it when it first came out, but I really wish it could have been longer. There's very little value in replaying it in my honest opinion.

  • $38 for those with Humble Choice. I picked it up this morning.

Edit/ scrap that, turns out I had $2 in my wallet for HB. It was $40.

I hate to be that guy, but I'm fairly sure that this is the historical low for Star Wars (Spoilers).

Not to discredit your contribution, OP. Great price, and a really good game.

    • hahahaha….I still haven't watched that trash

  • Price has definitely fallen. I may be forced to give into the dark side

    • +1

At least you haven't fallen for a pre-order.

  • I still haven’t finished this one. Performance is sketchy on Xbox oneX and it’s frustrating to control.

  • +3

I've got it on XBox, I wouldn't call this a good game. It's very pretty but feels sluggish and like I'm on a railroad, as in, you have to do these things at this time or death.

I don't need open world to enjoy a game, but there is far too much sliding down hills, timed jumps and awfully simple puzzles. I don't feel like a Jedi in this game, I feel like a guy holding a lightsaber who is being forced to follow a track. So much falling, instantly teleporting back to ledge and retrying that timed jump.

Deus Ex games are not open world, but how you complete a level is up to you, you have no choice except to play or not to play in this game.
