Vodafone seems to be clearing out stock of the Nexus S, selling at $299 in store as a prepaid phone but it is unlocked.

It is widely discussed on Whirlpool (link), I'm suprised this isn't listed yet but if it is I can't find it!

  I went into the Vodafone store again today and wanted to buy the phone but the rep said I had to be with vodafone to buy the phone. He said Vodafone doesn't have the prepaid version of Nexus S but I can buy it outright and I have to be with Vodafone already and pay a monthly fee. Have they stopped the promotion?

    I went to one Vodafone store where they said they were not selling it outright/prepaid. There was another Vodafone store in the same shopping center where I bought it in less than 3 mins with no contract, no sim for $299 as indicated. That was Friday. Try another store, call in advance.
