There’s a lot of content in there. Some might say it’s even worth double the regular price. Thankfully the devs aren’t greedy.
Iirc it's more like THE guy isn't greedy but he's come out with one hell of a game!

HK is amazing with a huge map to explore. I gave up after dying a too many times fighting the Soul Master.
Would recommend keep trying with Soul Master since the game really opens ups after that. There is a shortcut next to the bench. I watched a how to beat soul master yt video because I have been stuck on that guy for months and over 50 attempts. Finally defeated him last week and made good progress on the game.

Key is to focus on dodging and only heal when he is staggered. Get a few mask shards if you can. I hated losing money (geo) so to get around this, I farmed for it (Husk guard with fragile greed) and bought everything I wanted.
Now I am stuck at another boss which is a few bosses after Soul Master but I got heaps to do since the game has become less linear after Soul Master.

not sure about anyone else but possibly better value for the OP if you sign up for the xbox game pass for pc for $5 a month. hollow knight and both ori games are on it, plus everything else they have. ori 2 was one of the best games ive played in years.
In my top 10 games of all time easily, and made by a really great bunch of people in Adelaide to boot.
If you like metroidvanias at all, and you haven't played this, you owe it to yourself to give it a shot.Is it good to be played with keyboard, or do I need a controller?
Controller is highly recommended, but I'm sure there are some hardcore players out there who use a keyboard for it.
I played it with a keyboard and had no issues.
I finished it with key board and mouse, bound dodge to right click and attack to left click. Felt pretty natural from there
I found it easier on a controller. I'm sure you could easily play it on a keyboard though.
Keyboards is fine. It uses cardinal directions for movement, so controller have no advantage at all
I have 50 hours logged in this game on Switch, this game is a steal at its regular price, on discount its a no brainer.
Strongly recommend. One of my video game highlight moment was when I passed the path of pain.
Favourite single-player game of all time; great story, great atmosphere, godlike gameplay. Would recommend.
This game is beautifully done, enjoyable to play and watch. Also amazing to watch what people could do on ‘speed runs’ on YouTube. Incredible.

- Super punishing if you're not paying at least 90% attention and have muscle memory mapped.Generally speaking, it's fun but I've also had to google "why is hollow knight so hard" and my housemate has had to ask why I still play this game given how frustrated I can get playing it.
Seems like good value at $8.75
