  • Why is this a bargain? It is available cheaper elsewhere. http://www.penta.com.au/template.php?seqid=22582

    • we have the item in stock and ready to ship =)

Also i know Penta are selling it for $616, but i am just wondering do they have it in stock and how much shipping cost would be since you have to place an order online first then get a reply back with the shipping cost.

  • Don't mean to be negative but the 901 is going for $450 at retailers such as Bing Lee. Pickup too.

  • cyssero: Erm, I think you're thinking of the 701.

    http://www.shopbot.com.au/default.asp?kw=901+eee&position=se…

    • No, I mean the 901 with Windows XP. 4GB onboard + 8GB. $450 @ Bing Lee.

      • That would be 701 with 4GB onboard + 8GB SDHC card, not the latest 901, which has 12GB onboard (+ Atom + 8.9" LCD + 1.3MP camera + …)

        • My mistake, it's actually the Asus EeePC 900 going for $450 there with the Celeron M CPU. Still has Windows XP and 12GB IIRC :)

Retail has dropped to $499 on the EeePC 900, plenty of stock in the channels still!

      • indeed its cheaper results, but do they have it instock?

  • Are these out with Linux? I want the extra 8gb.

    $569

Shipping a bit expensive, pickup available in Sydney

    • Wrong Model. For a 900 its actually quite expensive.

    • That's right. It is 900 with 900Mhz Celeron, not 901 with 1.6Ghz Atom. Big speed difference.

I am just wondering where can I buy the 20GB Linux edition?

  • I bought the 900 from Shopping Square with 20GB/Linux the other week

  • pc901 20gb cost only around $629 in my local computer shop
    for asus eee pc

    • may i know the local computer store? thanks =)

  • Yes, krescent2. Please give us the name of your "local computer shop" to back up your statement.

  • ShoppingSquare now have these for $599.95 + delivery. It's quite steep @ $49 but the cost is CHEAPER than Mwave by $2.90 (for me in Melbourne anyway)

  • Frankly, i think acer Aspire One is going to take some of the Eeepc hype. So I rekon in 6 months time, the EeePc 901 would drop to half price.
