Sunbeam High Performance Power Blender PB9000 - $199 Delivered @ Myer

100

I was looking at the other Ozbargain deal for the Nutribullet (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/530850) and went to look for another suitable option as there were some reviews that said it wasn't powerful enough.

Came across this "one day only" deal for this Sunbeam Blender.

RRP is $499 down to $199 today.

Assuming it ends today as is day only?

I bought this blender from this deal in December. It's not bad but SO loud. Wouldn't recommend it if you live in an apartment with thin walls, and you plan to use it at 6am every day. It's only a bit better than the $89 Sunbeam blender I'd been using for 5 years before it.

AHHAHA! Lucky I don't wake up that early or live in an apartment. Thanks though!!

    • Which $89 blender?

  • Anyone have any feedback on if it’s good for ice crushing? I got a nutribullet and it does only a little and I was hoping to make something like how Boost make

    • Wooo, I should try that when I get it - I am obviously no help right now… But thanks for the idea!!

    • According to Choice:

      Good points

      • Excellent result for blending soft food, crushing ice, chopping carrots and green smoothie.
      • Excellent result for parmesan cheese, dry milling nuts and raw vegetable soup.
      • Tamper provided.

Can’t speculate on how this compares to Boost blenders though.

      • Thanks guys, i had a look on the internet for some reviews for this unit, but i had previously believed reviews saying i could do ice in the nutribullet (not a great idea- have the midrange one and ended up not really being what i wanted. you actually have to add a lot of liquid)

bit the bullet and got one, now to get rid of the nutribullet :P

      • Doesn't Boost use the "Will It Blend" Blendtecs?

    • Hey! I received my blender today and confirm that it crushes ice like a boss. :)

I bought this for $250 and can't fault it - crushes ice no problems, makes making bliss balls fairly painless. Blends Aldi frozen mango to a very nice gelato ish dessert.
The tamper works well. It heats up and cuts out when it gets too hot but then works again when it cools down. Certainly very loud on full tilt.
