  I'm pretty sure this does not have A50 fusion graphics… this has an Intel GMA chipset!

  Fusion graphics only exist on notebooks that actually use the newer Llano or Brazos platforms.

  What the hell are you guys talking about? This isn't even from Harvey Norman.

  I bought one of the slightly more highly specced versions of these with an i3 and HD6470 graphics earlier this year. the build quality and feel of the chassis is actually much better than youd expect for ~$300; the lid particularly has a great texture and the screen very vibrant.

  For someone with modest needs, this would be a real winner. :)

  Not a great deal IMO. eMachines have poor build quality.

  Centrecom was selling a Toshiba Satellite Pro C650 for $300 instore not long ago. Much better brand + builda quality and also uses a slightly faster Intel Core 2 Duo.

    If the centrecom deal was still available, it'd be the one to go for; but it isn't, so your comment is rather pointless. For someone who needs/wants a cheap lappy now, they can't really go past this deal.

      yeah but thats just like saying just because there is nothing else at that time for the same product, EG outdated tech, then the cheapest is a good price… i dont think thats correct.

      or getting fuel at 2 dollars a litre is great when everyone else is charging 2.10 when its on an expensive day - and its due to drop as the weekly cycle does…

      IE if we're fairly certian there will be another cheap deal@this price point, then heck - list away about what the price should be,.,, most people are keeping there eyes open, for me, the whole idea of bargain hunting is that you can wait for a great deal!

    the other completely incorrect notion in your statement is that the C650 you referred to is faster than the pentium P6200.

    the P6200 is based on the core i3 series, where as the core 2 duo in the satellite is at least 3 generations old now.

  I took advantage of this offering,

  So far at day 10 I needed to ask for a tracking number, got back a fake one that was manifested at Underwood QLD, now day 30ish, all emails are ignored….this has gotta be the worst online experience I have ever had…Myer proper should be ashamed but I doubt they would care.

  Anyone else took advantage of this offer received anything from Myfind and received their item or behavior even remotely paralleling their contractual conditions on the website??

  Seriously a strange situation…beware of this online seller, walks like a scam and so far doesn't talk so sounds like a scam also….I cannot be the only one singled out?
