    game wont open

    • Which one?
      Mine work fine.
Maybe it's your phone? Enough space left? Have you restarted it after installation?

    • +18

      No IQ then?

    • +6

But in all seriousness not opening for me too, re-install no good, plenty of storage so not sure what's happening there.

Have you tried restarting after installation?
And getting rid of stuff running in background still? It does affect my phone and I frequently forget.

So opening this App was the first test…

    Shows IQ Test keeps stopping

Restarted, plenty of memory free, but still won't open. Just shows the open app, but disappears when clicked on.

IQ test is garbage, as are reviews. Would be reviewed even lower if it weren't for fake reviews. Doesn't even open.

  • -1

There is no such thing as a custom made, free IQ test. This test cannot be reliable or valid. IQ tests are notoriously hard to design, and that's why only a handful of institutes in the world design them - and those are both reliable and valid.
    This is total garbage.

    • +2

This is why it is in category 'game'.
Every test, even the ones you refer to, are not reliable and valid as intelligence is very hard to quantify and measure.

    • Why would you think this is an actual IQ test?

Lighten up. I've trained in the design & administration of actual IQ test instruments. This isn't an IQ test.

It's just the name of a game which may resemble a simplified IQ test.

Next you'll be complaining that characters don't actually die in shooting games, or flight games don't actually fly😉

      It's just for entertainment.

      • That's right. It is like Ishikawa's (or similar) brain training on FS. Just minigames. Nothing scientific.
Aftet all this is not Ozbargainific or Ozscience.

        • +1

I downloaded expecting the usual "brain training" minigames - just for a bit of fun.

Everything we do in life could be considered an IQ Test😉

Calculate your IQ in just few minutes with the best and interactive IQ test questions! There will be 4 answer choices for each question. Simply choose the answer you think is true for the empty spot in the questions. IQ is used as a measurement in many sectors ranging from the workplace to other aspects in the education world. In this IQ test, you will see your IQ for yourself!

Which part are you referring to that says it's just for entertainment and not an iq test?

Next you'll be complaining that characters don't actually die in shooting games

Maybe it's better if you refrain from using analogies? You aren't too good at them.

        • -3

Lol! You're taking the name of this game way too seriously. That doesn't seem intelligent😉
          Maybe lighten up!

That text is just meaningless hype to sell it & describes how to play it.

          Why get so upset.
It doesn't measure IQ. Who believes it does?
          It's just a game😉

And for many of us, it doesn't even open so we can play.
          I've uninstalled it😢

    • IQ tests are notoriously hard to design,

Not as hard as you'd think. But not cheap or quick.
You get some smart creative people to write a thousand questions.
Then you start testing them on a thousand students, and use statistical techniques to quickly eliminate the worst questions, and end up keeping the ones that most accurately correlate to the final score.

Obviously there is more to it than that, but it is not simply one skilled person sitting down and "designing" a whole test.

You don't even need the question writers to be as smart as the people you are testing.

There are a few free online IQ tests that have some validity, but most are just games.

It's rather obvious that you have no idea how to design and validate intelligence tests.

        • Well, aren't you the stable genius?

  • IQ is a test for shmucks. If you download the app to know yours that’s your answer.

    • +2

It's just the name of this game for fun.

If people have a reasonable IQ with good general knowledge - they'd know that already.

      Seems like you failed😉

Ok I solved the first puzzle - how to install so it runs🎉

Installed IQ game - wouldn't open. Restarted phone - still wouldn't run.

Uninstalled from inside Play as it was open.
Then noticed app was still installed.
    Now it works!

But it's as boring as the basic part of IQ test I did entering high school - pattern matching - fit the missing piece. 😴

Did the 30 patterns in a couple of minutes while watching video - too easy. Good "score". But boring as f as a game👎

    Uninstalled. Revoked upvote.

It's not as if I could be bothered using this App again. More like "tests" you'd find in a magazine in the past or online with clickbait asking "How smart are you?".
We conducted proper intelligence testing in Honours year in Psychology, comparing validated testing methods. Didn't bother with them after that. Not of interest to me, boiling people down to a set of numbers.
