Line Rental is also cheaper than telstra at only $20

cheeky [mod: removed language], i thought about posting this here aswell.

    45$ per referral, i hope u make a shitload.

    • post your referral too, so ppl can choose who they want to use!

    • haha i know right. was wondering when someone would mention that.
But its a good deal for both parties.
Exetel are good value, was with them for years. Changed to TPG for the unlimited nakedness ;)

    • wish I had the cheek to have done this. So far 7x $45. Nice! you have to let us know how much you make from this. Enough people…maybe internet paid for next couple of years. Good luck!

  • My brother just moved into a new house and is looking for internet to be connected - how does one go about becoming a referrer? Is it an existing customer thing?

    • Yep, existing customers.

  • A few months ago the offer I believe was 6 months off.

It charge $40 for the activation fee.
It seems I pay this to exetel and they pay $45 to you…….
Can you be able to reimburse the $40 to me with your $45 credit?

    • Good luck with that.

only if you reimburse him $118.00 for the 4 months free internet :)

      • LOL

I guess I could reimburse half the activation ($20), just email me your service number after you sign up and also your bank details.

      • You are so nice~ I'll sign up and email you!
        Thank you in advance.

      • I'm thinking to get one too. Thank you in advance~

lol and in 2 months they will turn around and say these prices are unprofitable and they need to levy an extra admin fee now…people really ought to have a read up about them on Whirlpool before choosing whether or not they want to put up with Exetel…

Also keep in mind some people have been complaining on Whirlpool about speed and congestion issues of late….

These services are also served over an Optus ULL aren't they and the telephone must be bundled? If so please change the misleading price in the opening heading.

    • How is it misleading? If you are currently with telstra the cheapest line rental is $23, exetels line rental is $20. Can't really see anyone complaining about saving $3 a month on their line rental.

And they can't increase the price of the plan for the 12 months you are signed up. They have added an admin fee in some old plans because they won't to get people to move to current plans.

      • (200GB Only $29.50 P/M) -> (200GB Only $49.50 P/M inc. Line Rental) would be a lot more accurate seeing as this is the true minimum monthly cost of the service…

They have tried in the past…if you were on a contract and stuck to your guns then they would simply terminate your service at contract's end if you hadn't accepted to take the increase…

        • But then people may be mislead to think that they will receive the full $49.50 p/m free for 4 months… I'm happy to change it to whatever people feel is the most accurate.

"And they can't increase the price of the plan for the 12 months you are signed up. They have added an admin fee in some old plans because they won't to get people to move to current plans."
They can and do. Exetel are notorious for changing terms mid-contract.

  • It works out to be (12 * $20 + 8 * 29.50 + 40)/12 = $43/month for the first 12 months (inc activation fee). Note without activation fee, this is $40/month (or 20% less than their regular monthly fee of $49.50/month).

Of course if you stay with them for 24 months, the discount is 10%. 36 months, the discount is under 7% etc.

  • I remembered I applied for Lite Agent code, so would that be the same deal?

stay way from exetel. they are one of the worst isp out there. they do not care if you are down for 3 days because of some unexpected event during their maintenance, useless customer service and constantly put their prices up without offering better service quality or anything else visible. never again!

  • I have been with exetel for about 4 years now and not on a contract and it is true that they have added admin fees to bump up the price. I am still on adsl 1 had the option of going to adsl 2 but didn't think the extra cost was worth it.

  • Hi bargs
