On further reading, pizza haven was bought out by eagle boys? Who was then bought out by pizza hut!? This is news to me.

Yeah I should have been more specific. They offered a rebrand any remaining EB stores that were not close to existing pizza huts. As most EB stores were franchisee owned they could choose to take the changeover or leave it
