No stock near me. Plus not wise to go outside now

    • +3

So how do you shop for food? That's still allowed.

      • +4

Yes it's allowed but it doesn't mean you are not exposed to risk doing so. I lock myself down at home :) Either online/delivery order or eat my stocked food

        • -1

Each to their own. I'm not going to waste money on take-away and will continue to shop.

@khrome: The only way Australia is going to make it through is uuf 80 % self isolate. If you catch you will likely start a domino effect whereby over 400 people catch it in 30 days. All because you didn't w to stay in. To save a few bucks. Our hospitals are going to be overwhelmed soon. Thanks

            • -2

@voteoften: Doesn't mean you have to stay indoor 24/7, there's a reason why grocery stores are still open, and dont forget to get some excercise outside once in a while

              • +6

@oranglama: there's a different between staying indoor 24/7, and going to stores every days/times to save a few bugs. Each time you go to crowded place, you increase the chance the virus spread.

And even if you're not in the risky portion of the population, you "limited" yourself for the good of Australia. I think that's the main point @voteoften means to convey

                • @dknight: Who said every day, maybe i missed that but definitely NOT everyday. I only go out when it's necessary, but I'm also definitely not going to stay home 24/7, my kid needs to play outside (not playground before anyone blames me again lol) every once in a while.

                • +4

@dknight: Reality is we can never find what we need at the grocery stores now so we have to keep going back every other day to see if they have stock. Crazy times. Hopefully grocery deliveries will be available again soon.

              • +4

@oranglama: When the PM repeatedly has to tell us every night to avoid unnecessary travel, he's talking to you too. The sooner they lock everyone the better.

                • +1

@scuderiarmani: I'm only travelling when it's necessary, but thanks for the reminder

          • +3

@khrome: No wonder why the cases are rising

            • @Fredfloresjr: So no one should be shopping for food in person now? Just online? Is that what you are doing for everything you need?

              • @FabMan: Nah man up to you. But i am doing things wisely now as part of the solution. Instead of gloing 2-3x weekly I am just doing my thing once a week or fortnight. And o, btw I’m a registered nurse. I’d rather cop the virus while on work.

                • +2

@Fredfloresjr: Hoarding enough food for 2 weeks is a problem when trying to supply a family of 4 with a diet that includes fruit, vegetables, bread, and dairy. I also have to hope that there is enough in stock, which there hasn't been for some necessary items, but unfortunately, we have to deal with hoarders who are taking as many supplies as possible.

You claim a moral superiority after being asked a question, you attack someone saying they are responsible for the continuation of the virus when they are doing the same actions as you by still going shopping. Bit of a douche thing.

Wouldn't it be wiser for you to get home deliveries and not go out at all though? You claim your own actions are wise by restricting movements outside of work to once a week to two weeks, but how long have you been taking these wise actions? It can't be that long since we weren't instructed that long ago. I feel like you are criticizing someone for doing what you are doing, but just less frequently, and only for the past two weeks max.

                • @Fredfloresjr: And when you’re low on essentials like toilet paper because morons are stockpiling for the apocalypse and you can’t find any on your weekly shop, what do you do?

          • @khrome: Just so you are aware, at the current rate, we will run out of ICU bed by Easter. That means no matter how serious your or someone's illness is, none can be treated.

Found another TP hoarder in OzB.

Showing which stores have stock would be useful.

    • +8

This is a major nationwide chain. You want OP to list every store for stock…

      • -8

This is a nationwide chain with no stock of this product at any of the metropolitan Sydney stores, so yep, an example of which stores that have stock would be very useful.
Edit: Majority of Sydney stores- Macquarie shows low stock.

Hmmmm pretty easy, click on picture, it takes you to Big W site and shows if your local shops have it instantly, takes about 1 second.
