  • How do these work? Just plant and leave it for a while or is there a little more effort involved? Any major difference between these and preplanted herbs in pots besides convenience?

Yep, plant and let nature do the work or start in punnets and raise seedlings than plant out.
No major difference, only cost I would say.
      Thanks

From my experience (not with these herbs specifically) it's mostly price and convenience. To get seeds to a healthy seedling ready for transplantation takes a little while, maybe 5-7 weeks depending on the herb. By buying seedlings you're essentially cutting out this time so you can get a full sized plant a bit faster. For example, just getting seeds from Bunnings costs around $4 and with that you're looking at the equivalent of somewhere around 5-7 seedlings. To buy a single herb seedling from Bunnings costs around $4 give or take, so to buy the equivalent number of seedlings as you can grow with seeds will set you back $20-$30.

I reckon if you're not in a rush, going for seeds (either direct in planter or raising seedlings) is worth the small amount of effort. Just keep em watered every day or two and in a decent amount of sun and you're golden :)

  • Deliver to WA?

Just curious, why are some varieties 25 seeds and other 150? Germination rates?

    Thanks

    • +1

Yes deliver to WA. Some are 25, some are 150 due to cost of seed.
      Thanks

    Hi Riverduck.

I'm always open to trying new seed companies and or farms but I like to actually see a little about them first.

I can't see any location or address listed on site, no about us or anything and only a web form for contact.

Are these seeds from your own plants or?

I understand you may sell fairly cheap but I think I'll leave it until I know a little more about where I'd be ordering from.

    • Good point!

    • Hi XXRydeR,
Thank you and sorry about that, no sadly these seeds are not from our plants.
We are based in Brisbane and an online only store at this stage.
      Best Regards
