Any Purchases with the use of Voucher / Coupon / Promo code will result in cashback tracking at $0.00

    • Damn. In concert with that 20% code this would have been great. I would have bought 5kWh of lithium batteries for $1760. Even with terrible quality LiFePO4 batteries, which they probably are, that's crazy value.

    • Glad I didn't let them track my sale just then then

WoW, shop for minimum $2001 to get 5.5% cashback :o

    • I thought there was a cap of $50?

      • Can't find anywhere that says that, but it would be funny if true.

        • I saw that clause before but could not find it anymore.

  • +45

if you're buying $2000 worth on ebay and not using any Voucher / Coupon / Promo, you should probably be questioning the purchase

    • +2

Using vouchers doesn’t give you any extended warranty benefits you might get from a credit card, so definitely love his option for any large purchases

      • Use a voucher, pay thru Paypal via the credit card? What's problem

        • +1

Sorry I should've said gift card as opposed to discount/voucher codes.

  • +19

This is not the shopback we know.

  • +6

    he shoots and misses

  • +15

Don't blame Shopback it's eBay and Amazon calling the shots

    • -5

      No it isn't.

    • +1

This. As the economic downturn drags on, expect more and more retailers to cut or eliminate cashback altogether.

      • -1

Why in God's name would any retailer start not paying their traffic sources? LMAO

And you sound like you don't understand how it works.

        • +2

For the same reason many don't right now - they feel the cost outweighs the benefits.

        • +2

Woolworths literally did exactly that, because when you are going to get the traffic anyway, why pay for it.

      • +3

@44sunsets: That. As the economic downturn drags on, expect more and more retailers to increase their cashback to try bring customers back to shop and spend.

  • +4

    Counterproductive.

  • +3

So, I can spend $800 and get $10 off.
Geez, and I thought the monthly plus coupons were bad.

  • I used the same device with them with no ad blockers and found it disturbing the amount of untracked items . More disturbing is social media reports of entire balances disappearing . I won’t use then for any offer and recommend withdraw entire balance .The max is $300 at a time .Google ShopBack reviews .

    • definitely, with so many strings attached and the amount of time it takes to get the money back its pretty poor.
long term it adds to cost of retailers and consumers too

  • +1

    Shopback, you've changed.

    • Shopback please comeback

  • +7

So many upvotes for such a crappy deal.

    • Agreed

    • because everyone love dealbot ?

      • -4

I don't think this is the case. I'm not part of any "circles" here so don't get automatic upvotes.

        • +1

but I upvoted most of your deals 😢
          (not this one :P)

  • We used to have sitewide codes for this. At least 3%. SB doing ebay's job now.

    I wouldn't buy a $2000 item at only 5.5% off.

  • +1

One more reason to shop elsewhere :D

  • +1

I got excited for a second there

  • To those that up-voted, what are you guys buying? Just seems like an average deal at best

  • If I am seeing a very good price on a $2000 item on EBay that I am after, I am not going to say nah because there is no 20% off eligible items/sellers code. This SB 5.5% would make the deal sweeter. My only concern is that SB sometimes did not track for me. Nothing gained, nothing lose if I was going to buy that item anyway.
Some people are just hard to please :-p

    • Some people are just hard to please :-p

      …just ask my wife

  • So payment with gift cards is ok? Just no voucher codes?

  • +3

"Up to" is not a term to be used in respectable bargain circles.

  • risky..
