Should I add that in the title?

Yeah here, just change title to below:

        Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse $69 C&C/+ Delivery (OW/PB $65.55) @ JB HIFI

    • Even though this is probably the HERO version, but officework still have the product code for it as the older Proteus Spectrum (910-004633
), with my previous officework pricematch experience they are just gonna deny the pricematch (product code dont match). But if anyone successful please let me know

      • Could be right, but do it in store shouldn’t have a problem just grab box off shelf & show them , or explain over phone they haven’t updated their product code

        • +1

          Nvm pricematched successful in store

  • is it a permanently wired mouse? is it possible to be used wirelessly?

    • wired

      • Thanks.

    • +1

      nvm. i find the answer.
to go wireless, someone needs to buy the G502 LIGHTSPEED!

      • +1

thanks for sharing, wireless peripherals so damn convenient

  • Good deal. but reportedly a narrow mouse that won’t be any good for large hands.

    • +8

Actually it is not as narrow as people claim it to be. I have one and it is probably one of the better gaming mice out there.

    • +1

Yeah, I got no clue where the narrow complaints come from in a few reviews. I use the wireless model of this mouse (same dimensions) and I have pretty large hands and it's extremely comfortable.

    • dunno where this comes from, it's still slightly wider in the centre than your basic microsoft mouse though i'm sure theres bigger mice out there

  • This or Glorious Model O — Same price for 69.00 at PC Case Gear…

    • +4

Not really a comparison to be made there since the G502 is designed with buttons and comfort in mind (if you like that sort of thing), while the Glorious Model O is all about weight.

      • Fair enough. I just need help deciding which one to go with.

        • +1

Comes down to whether you want a light mouse (Model O: 67g, G502: 121g) or if you prefer the shape, infinite scroll and ability to assign lots of shortcuts to the extra buttons (notably the dpi up/down buttons and the G-shift button which allows each button to perform a different action).

      • You can also add weight to the G502, not sure how it compares to the Model ) in terms of customisability though.

        • +1

This mouse is already super heavy, you'd be crazy to add more weight.

          • @wangasm: Some people play better with heavier mice. Not everyone likes the same thing. I added all the weights to mine to replicate the mouse it replaced, after not being happy with it at first without them. Now I love it.

    • +1

You also need to take into account that the Model O is an ambidextrous mouse unlike the G502 which makes a huge difference. If you don't want an ambidextrous mouse you should be looking at the Glorious Model D instead.

I've actually tried all 3 mice and my personal preference would be from best to worst: Model D > G502 > Model O

      • Is it though? There is no side buttons on the right side of the mouse, so while technically it is ambidextrous, you don't really have the functionality of the mouse thumb buttons, (unless you use your pinky).

I would say it is ambidextrous shaped rather than an ambidextrous mouse. (my personal opinion)

        • Ah you are correct it is indeed in shape only, I'm only used to calling it that since some companies seem to make this same mistake.

  • Damn good price.

The mouse is a lot heavier than the G402 even without any weights added.

nice, amazon price matched $69 delivered

Damm just purchased a steel series mouse 10 mins before i seen this

  • I've never been a fan of the scroll wheel on this mouse. The scroll wheel jiggles and makes noise when you move it with an sort of speed.

  • +2

I just bought this over the weekend. It's excellent for MMOs, since there's a lot of button customization that can be mapped to hotbars (usually from 6 to = on the keyboard where your hand can't comfortably reach).

I previously used the first iteration of the Razer Naga for raiding. The utility of the left buttons were average, mainly because but the 12 buttons sardined onto the left side of the mouse was not practical. When I pressed the lower buttons (9-12) it was an uncomfortable stretch on the thumb and the mouse cursor would keep moving around.

The weighty inertia on the G502 prevents annoying movements as outlined above, also the extra buttons are ergonomically placed and don't require much force from your fingers to register clicks.

    • Upvoted you, but I'm surprised you even have the patience to MMO on Australian internet. PVP sucks ass for Australia.

      • I don't pvp on MMOs, just PVE, so it's still bearable… sort of.

  • These Logitech mouses recently have come with some double-clicking issues, I just claim warranty for my G903, if you search on internet you can see many other people with similar issues.

  • I have the g502 core from years ago. It's been a great mouse and will last for ages.
You can reduce the perceived weight by placing weights close to your hand. See this image: https://i.redd.it/m5mnrxvuv3xz.jpg

  • Anyone know if this has the infinite scroll wheel?

    • I have the mouse so can answer, but first, what's the infinite scroll wheel?

      • +2

Some Logitech mouses have a weighted scroll wheel that spins freely, without 'clicking'. You can 'throw' it to scroll a long length of the page and catch it when you want it to stop.

Edit: looks like it does. The button under the scroll wheel toggles the mode.

        • This mouse has a button that enables free spinning or step 'clicky' scrolling.

        • Yes it does. The button right under the scrollwheel switches it form standard scrolling to "infinite" scrolling. It is really one of the best and most satisfying scroll wheels I've used.

        • Yep, see below and your edit! It's great and I use it all the time.

Officeworks also dropped their price to $69 so no price beat available.

  • Price back up to $149 @ JB
