LG 38" 3840x1600 HDR Ultrawide Curved FreeSync Monitor (38WK95C) $1322 + Delivery (Free Pickup) @ Umart

70

Pulled the trigger and bought this ultrawide. Main use will be for productivity. Screen is massive and really good resolution. For some reason it’s stuck on 30hz but hoping it’s only due to the cable.

  • Seems to be OOS OP, available from Computer Alliance ebay for a similar price

Try displayport, HDMI and DVI often limited to 30hz for these ultrawide monitors

Tried all of them, its just an issue with this monitor

I have the Acer version, which has a 75hz refresh rate. Love it. There's no going back to 16:9.

I got the LG on launch and it does 75hz on DP.

  • what's the point of freesync at 30hz?

  • The 34" I think is the better buy - https://www.umart.com.au/LG-34in-UWQHD-IPS-144hz-Curved-HDR4…

At 144hz, I'd be willing to go down extra inches in size.

clearly you haven't gone black before

Dunno. 144hz is some pretty good vibrations.

Fixed the refresh issue. Just had to change the cable. Was using HDMI to Mini DP via Adapter to a single DP to mini DP cable.

Runs on 75hz now. So much better.
