The thing with these flameless candles is that most of them only run for about 24 hours on one set of batteries … but really, given the low lumens, there's no logical reason for that. This problem renders them more of a gimmick than a viable prospect for 'nightly ambience in the loungeroom' etc. Maybe the 'flickering' effect requires power usage that is way disproportional to that of the actual lumens emitted? I dunno. At least these ones run on AAAs not button batteries… so you could use rechargables. Still though, candles like this will not 'take off' until one comes out that can run for at least a week solid on three reachargable AAAs. This should be quite doable; does anyone know of a brand that has achieved this?
