Very cheap for a Bricks & Mortar store with the Canon 5 Year Warranty. Not as cheap as it has been in the past but these are usually Boxing Day/Christmas sales.

Great beginner DSLR, I would recommend picking up the Canon 50mm f1.8 STM lens at the same time. Not much of a deal on that however.

  This is a good camera, but I'm going to say the price isn't a 'deal'.

  Picked this up from Teds eBay store in December for $636.34, via a combination of these three deals:

  • $50 cashback from Canon;
  • 15% off Teds eBay store via eBay Plus coupon; and
  • 15% off on Teds prices directly.

  That combination might be unachievable right at this moment, but this current deal is about 34% more.

    Disagree. What you got was a bargain, not just a deal. However if this is the current best price, then yes, its a deal.

    That's an extremely extremely good deal, but how often does that come around? This is currently over $100 off any other bricks & mortar store.

      Fair enough. I haven't downvoted the deal.

      If you're prepared to be extremely patient and the stars align, you might be able to jag a better deal.

      If you're in the market right now, this deal might be the best going. If you are considering this camera, here are few shots I've taken with it, all using the kit lens:

      • Duck at dusk
      • Classic cars
      • Squirrel

      Each of these was shot RAW, post-processed in Lightroom, and scaled down for the purpose of upload.
