I've never seen these last more than 12 months in other's gardens. The plastic yellows, goes brittle and eventually collapses under its own weight. But, for $5, it's probably worth it.
Mine have lasted for about 2 years before dying - usually corrosion inside, but I've clipped some with the mower when I'm lazy and they broke when they hit the paved area next to the lawn. But at 25c, I'd be happy with 2 years of use. Have to check my local bunnings and see if they are on special. I think I paid about $15 last time for a pack of 30.
Been there. Worst one was I threw a rock to the fence line once, landed perfectly on top of one and crushed it.
I stood there in disbelief, even if I spent a hour practicing I wouldn't have been able to make that shot.
Caroline Springs has heaps, got 2 boxes
Light up your hell hole
These are garbage, I wouldn’t buy it at this price. Just landfill.
There's a reason they're being cleared out. These are junk. Had 'em and didn't last. Not worth even $5
Heaps at Bunnings Maroochdore, QLD. It would be nice to find some solar lights that last. I find most eventually (sometimes quickly) die due to rust although of each lot I buy there seems to be at least one that lasts for years? I have tried a few times spraying all the works with an insulating protection spray but it didn't seem to make much difference. Anyone done diy? I have bought special IC's to make some but have not got around to the project yet.
Ditto, I'd happily pay a decent price if they were going to last 3-5 years.
If I can get cheapies to last 2 years I'm OK, but would prefer to not create more waste by replacing them so often!

Check your local
Awesome, thanks for the link! If store isnt listed I assume that means no stock?
The IC I mentioned earlier for doing a DIY is QX5252F. If your panels were still ok (as many I have tested were)you just need one QX5252F and an appropriately sized inductor as well as your battery and led. Plenty of circuits and instructables are available on the net showing what to do.
Belmont WA had alot at $9. They wouldnt match.
I read that as South Park. Path lights in the shape of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman would be sweet. Especially Mr. Hankey.
