  • yeah for fathers day, because without it there would be no cheap tv's (right)

    shuffles off now…

  • I'd be interested in others' thoughts on this deal. Specs seem decent and price reasonable. But clearly this is a re-badged no name brand like Kogan.

    • looks the same as my kogan. I'm happy with the picture, the speakers are crap though. I've hooked up some cheap PC speakers to mine and am very happy with the overall result.

As for the deal, I've just grabbed a 40" VIVO from the Dick Smith offer that was posted here a few days ago for $399 delivered. Although that deal has expired, I'm sure there will be similar ones for this kind of no name brand TV, which makes this look kind of expensive.

For an everyday price it's pretty good, but if you have time on your side I think better deals come along fairly regularly.

I do like their stance on zero dead or stuck pixels though. AFAIK the name brands will not replace your tv unless you have more than 5.

      • Have just checked against previous deal, the Vivo is an LCD not an LED model and only has a 50Hz refresh rate.

Similar unit but lower specs, different panel and slightly smaller.

There are very few manufacturers that will stand by their product enough to give 0 dead or bright pixel policy

    • All of our new models have upgraded speakers with dynamic sound and decent bass levels.

This is one of the main new features in the new models.

    • Vision is better than Kogan.

  • Yeah definitely keen to see if anyone reputable has reviewed these…

    • At this stage the new units have not been reviewed by external providers, here is a link to one of other bargains on ozbargain where members have advised of build quality etc..

  • Page Not Found Error on link in description

    • fyi the one in the thumbnail works

      • have just tested both links and they seem to be working correctly

  • Seems like quite a good deal with the 100HZ refresh rate, and the zero dead pixel warranty. Quality of this unit seems pretty good from other members, so this is a good deal imo.

  • I have one of Vision's earlier 42" 1080p 100hz LCD's. The mainboard required replacing after approx. 14 months. It took a few calls to them to send a mainboard out at a cost of $100 - $120. I then paid a local TV repair shop to swap the boards, about $35. Maybe the newer models are more reliable, but I wasn't impressed. Hopefully they also carry more spare parts these days as it seemed like a chore to find (and sell) me a replacement mainboard.

All that said, I won't neg Vision, the actual picture and sound of my tv is quite good.

  • Well good on them for backing up their products with the zero defect pixel warranty.
