Clearly states USED in the title. Where on earth are they comparing prices of new and used units in a way that would mislead anyone?
I can't see it.
An iPhone XS Max 64GB is ~$1249 new or, on sites like eBay, available unlocked from around $890 in good used condition.
Sorry, I was only looking at the products @OP had listed as being re-priced.
And the crossed-out prices are out there for used (not new) handsets, eg
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/APPLE-iPhone-X-A1865-SILVER-256G…
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-iPhone-X-256GB-Space-Grey-…
Buying 2nd hand phones at this price is a mugs game.
There's obviously a market out there.
Places like Mazuma are offering $500-560 sight-unseen for an iPhone XS Max 64 in good to excellent condition.
Bonkers.
Mazuma normally refurbish the phones for resale in India, China, Africa, etc. So there is a market, it’s just not here.
I'm not an iPhone user, and @Dosada's comment on OP's other listings made me wonder what shops (ie not private sellers) are peddling the iPhone X for these days. I just about fell off my seat. eg

@[Deactivated]: I think they are just bait advertisements taking advantage of Apple’s confusing product naming.
I don’t really care, if people don’t do basic research when spending over a thousand dollars they are just as much to blame.
At least this deal seems like a fair price for a USED iPhone XS Max 64Gb.
OMG! Used phones sold as used, not "refurb" or "open box". Credit to poster for that much :-)
I have a plus vote solely for that reason
Neg for misleading pricing. You compare prices of brand new units to your second hand ones. This is misleading and I think illegal too
