get a sparky to replace your sockets with e27 ones

  • It’s shipped and sold by Amazon US. You’ll need to update.

    • Free shipping for amazon au prime still

  • So do these now work without the hub, or do you still need the hub?

    • you can control via bluetooth and the app, or for the full experience hub is required

  • These are the dimmable ones, not the ambiance ones that do blue tint, white and yellow tint.

I haven't clicked the link but wouldn't they be 110v if coming from the US?

  • Very good price for the hue! This works out to be $20.87 per bulb.

This philips hue white ambiance is 806lm.

The Ikea Tradfri (also dimmable and adjustable colour temperature) is $19.99 but 1000lm. So around 20% brighter.

I have a hue hub and a bunch of philips hue lights and recently added 2 x Tradfri colour changing bulbs. The Ikea ones works well with the hue. So this may be a worthy alternative for some.

May I ask if you mean I can add IKEA ones to Hue Hub and control by Hue app?

      • Yes that is what I did. It is fairly simple to pair the Ikea smartbulbs with the philip hue hub as they are both using the zigbee protocol.

    • I'm also using Tradfri on a Hue hub (with tradfri dimmers) works well

    • I’ve got a few Tradfri bulbs with my hue hub, but I have found the IKEA bulbs don’t have the same dimming range as the Hue.

This doesn't seem like a great deal as they are US voltage… 110/120

  • Does this work in Aus with the 240 voltage? Do hue bulbs work in dual voltages ?

  • +2

    Will not work. 110v

  • -1

Should come with VPN and antivirus. Hahah

  • +4

My Hue bulbs state 220V only - which is near enough to 240/250 for a switch-mode device.
NOT dual voltage. Same for other LEDs I checked 220-240V stated, even the Chinese Yeelights.

The Amazon website does not state for these, but BestBuy says they are 120V.
And the Amazon reviews are all from US, Canada and Mexico.

Somebody has made an error making these available outside North America.

It will work for a while, until you lose the magic smoke.

(p.s. The Bridge is multi-voltage, and acessories use battery. just bulbs are a problem.)
