  • I bought the dual driver Truengine SE last week. Basic packaging, reasonable build quality, etc. as you would expect at this price point. I found that the supplied eartips just don't form a seal in my ear for me, and most other eartips I have collected over the years aren't long enough to work with these - still looking for a solution. BT connection quality seems ok, though lag is perceivably more than other BT headphones. On phone calls, others have said that the microphone quality is average to terrible - so keep that in mind for certain models if you're planning on making a lot of calls.

    • +1

Bought a set as well and i loved it. Only downside was that it isn't touch but an actual button. They gave me 40% off my next order so got another set coming today

      • Got mine this week as well and really happy with mine. How did you get the 40% off offer? Didn't see anything in my box.

        • +1

There was a card in the box saying I can get 40% off from my next purchase but had to email them. Gave them some of my details and they gave me a promo code. So bought the newest model that has soft touch (ok bought 2 as the promo doubles in value haha) so I'll sell 1 of them for $30 (it is $40 on Amazon) and then they said I can also do a review on another if I like so I'm planning on buying the neckband one and they'll refund me in full for that.

Quality for me is good but keep in mind I haven't had earbuds before and I don't use it a lot. I have a nice headset so this is mainly just for calls in the office as I can't take my Astro A50 everwhere. Think that is important to state as some people will use this 8h a day.

      • Yeah, what's this 40% off offer?

        • +2

          Read my comment above :)

    • I also have the True Engine SL. IMHO not as good as the previous version as they are not as easy to put in your ears or back in the case. Sound quality is pretty good however.

      • Sound quality is good, if I push them in for a 'manual' fit.

    • still looking for a solution

Get some comply™ foam tips. They mould to your eardrum and are are a Hi-Fi legend. About 20~ bucks for 3 pairs is par for the course.

You can even get cheap Chinese knockoffs on ebay for 2-3 bucks off ebay if you wanna trial run before you buy complys here. But make no mistake the complys are better.

  • Is any of those wireless ones waterproof? or atleast water resistant ?

  • What's the pick of the bunch SQ wise?

  • I got some of the True Wireless Earbuds (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07S9XVTBH/) a couple of weeks ago on a lightning deal and have been good so far, happy with the fit, battery life and sound

    • how are they? I just got my TrueDot set and going to test them out a bit.

      • They're great for the price. I'm sure you could get better sound out of a $250 - $300 set, but for the ~$30 I paid for these I'm very happy with them.

I mainly use them for Tidal, Podcasts and Youtube on the train to / from work (about an hour each way) and then my lunch break. They sit in the case of the day and I charge the case every couple of days and I haven't had the battery run out yet at all.

  • I have similar Soundpeats. Sounds great on Android, but not recommended for iPhone.
Without AptX, the sound is poor - much bigger difference than i thought it should be. Something wrong with their non-aptx codec, i think.

  • I just tested the TrueDot set and I wouldn't recommend them to be honest. The truengine is much much better

  • Can we have deal for the Q30HD please? Not a fan of magnetic charging dongle..

    • hello, will update you when there is a deal for the Q30HD, thank you for your support

      • Thanks!

          • @floker: Thanks. Your colleague said applied a deal for 4th March or something, will it go lower to $26.99 from previous deals?

            • @dingdong3000: hello, that deal is not sure to be running at that time, for we just submite the deal, Amazon didn't pass that deal, and now, it is running Best Deal.

              • @floker: No worries i got it anyway with the Shopback $2 cashback so works out not bad deal after all

  • Any deal for the true wings?

    • Would love a deal on the true wings… Anyone used them before?

    • hello, will update you when there is a deal for the TrueWings, thank you for your support

  • Yea I'm tempted to send back the TrueDot and getting the Force. The TrueDot isn't bad but the audio quality is much nicer on the Truengine. How does the Force compare to the Truengine in regards to audio quality?
