OMG hope no one is coming up with Vegemite Gyoza

    • Might taste better than this nutella one.

  • Where and until when?

  • +1

Lol, everyone so disgusted that no one mentions lack of title details.

  • looks yum, deep fried nutella wrapped in some dough. yumm

I wonder how many gyozas in a serve though.

    • Nutella with meat filling from the pic.

      • +2

doesn't seem to be meat. looks like nutella deep fried so it has a crusty layer.

  • No no no no no no NO!

  • Need more details please

FYI these guys are on thefork.com.au and they often have 50% off deals

and they often have 50% off deals

      Now we know why…

  • That looks hideous.

  • +1

Not sure if this is the deal in all their stores but the store in Brisbane has happy hour 4-6 Mon-Fri, 4 wings and beer for… $5.

  • This is not good visually

    • This is not good visually

      Way in or way out?

  • Most Harajuku Gyoza outlets currently have 50% off food on certain dates/times on thefork.com.au, e.g.
    Darling Harbour Sydney

Using the 50% off will end up being cheaper than just getting one free nutella gyoza unless you can really order just 1 pc of gyoza (which I doubt) and getting the nutella gyoza free.

  • Agree it looks terrible but tbh it's the same thing as those nutella gozlemes or even…a nutella crepe. Usually the gyoza dough is plain, maybe with a pinch of salt? But so does normal bread so essentially similar to nutella on toast but deep fried!

On another note, is this place worth going to in general? Have seen it on thefork for a while and maybe it's worth a try at 50% off?

    • I've eaten there before and would say that it is worth it at 50% off. Before anybody else freaks out, the filling is entirely nutella and not a very good photo but they do a lot of different gyozas. The more interesting ones are mozarella cheese and another which is cheeseburger flavoured. For anybody wondering, there are dishes other than gyozas which are more traditional Japanese.

My recommendation is duck or pork gyoza.

  • That sounds absolutely feral.

  • Rude waiters, overpriced/overhyped food

    • so they failed

"Before launching the Harajuku Gyoza empire, owners Matthew Bailey and Steven Minon were the brains behind a successful creative agency. While frequently visiting a client in Tokyo they were constantly drawn to a hole-in-the-wall in Harajuku that specialises in gyoza. After deciding that Brisbane needed one, they returned and opened their first of five stores.

Their creative talents are writ large across the fit-out’s aesthetic details, including the Harajuku-inspired uniforms, the timbered exterior of the shopfront and the colourful Japanese art-clad plates adorning the walls.

The duo have also successfully emulated the Japanese culture they love – the enthusiastic hospitality in particular. You can witness this as soon as you step in the door, when the staff roar “moshi moshi!” in welcome. A loud “arigatou gozaimasu” (thank you very much) punctuates every exit."
