I prefer the msy pdf.
That’s saying something.
I don't understand how a god damn computer store can't seem to design a competent website for their own online store. Wtf is this absolute poor effort.
Because they deal in hardware, not web design ?
I've given up shopping online with DJ's. Just had a quick look at this sale, very very limited selection and many items have gone up in price. Then you'll find just about every store near you is out of stock, or you'll have your order cancelled later. Frustrating and not worth the time!
Can you give examples of sale items that have gone up in price?
Some of these items have been on sale for months, so I don't think its reasonable to assume that an item that they've been trying to clear for months will be available in your exact size, colour and in the store down the road from you.
As if they're going to waste their time giving examples. Comments requesting that are annoying.
They second part of your comment thigh, I totally agree with. However, DJ should have a useful website. You can't even filter the sale by useful categories such as "shoes"
I agree! Website is slow. Absolute time waster. Brings up multiple items that are out of stock. Belts have no sizing on the listings so how do you know what size you're buying. Multiple items are click & collect only. No way to filter sale items by size so you need to click on each and every item. Oh - and most of it is crap anyway.
"Take an extra 40% off".. then get all your orders cancelled
Half a dozen things I want, only one was available in VIC once I went through locations one by one. Not going to bother with DJs specials any more.
Even if it showed "In stock", the chances are your order will still get cancelled. Their online stock management is a piece of sh*t. Has never ever worked for me. I stopped ordering online at DJ long time back.
When there were some decent deals over Christmas I got quite a few of them, and only had a couple cancelled. But you're right, it's shambles. Having done some contract work with DJs before, I'm not surprised.
Some smashing prices in there if you spend the time to look.+
Everything I picked said click and collect only, closest store in stock is in WA. I am in VIC
A very confusing promotion. Only items that have a '40%-off' mark is on special, not every item. Even then, it seems like very few items are actually 40% off.
Well it does say right on the front page "off selected already reduced women’s and men’s fashion, shoes and accessories.* Thousands of styles included."
"selected" does not imply every item as you have alluded to.
Their store is a train wreck. Always has been. Items i chose were 'click and collect only'. Its only when you go and try checkout that it then makes you click each item in your basket and select a location. Some items were only available on the other side of the country.
And then you need to back-track to remove them from your basket.
I gave up in the end.
It would be nice if you could see locations before you add to your basket.
This might be a good buy for anyone interested. Seems like the watches are not suppose to be 40% off except for this one.

What a joke - selected couple of items. The only option available is click and collect with nearest stores being 3100 km and 1120 km away…
Can’t they make it simple for item OOS, don’t show it on the website??
last DJ sale. had every thing I wanted except C&C Only at a store that 750 km from my location.
IF you think the website is terrible doing some online shopping? Try doing a wedding register! Ruined my wedding! Head office couldn't even explain why I was having so many issues. They ended up giving me a $1500 gift card as compensation though.
What did you do??
too many to list all:
- I requested all my deliveries to be posted on a particular day a week after my wedding. Gifts were recevied on various random dates before and after the wedding
- Received some gifts with no guest details
- DJ's called me of the morning of my wedding confirming my postal address
- Various items (e.g. towels) I requested only certain number. However guests were able to buy more than the max I wanted
- The celebrations card that a number of guests contributed towards received an email 12 months after my wedding confirming we had received the gift card. We received the card shortly after the wedding.
- Was told that we could only put items on the register that are available to purchase online only.
- Was told could only go in store to add items to the registry and can only be the Melbourne City store. This was not true despite travelling to the city store on a number of occasions.
The list goes on…
Horrible horrible experience, would never recommend using David Jones for wedding registry. Horrible custoemr service too from head office with many unanswered calls or emails.
Bought stuff about 9 days ago when they had extra 30% off. Haven't received any yet. One item is not even shipped yet.
reason I made the above comment, happened last year, waited 3-4 weeks every order cancelled, they even send out bs updates it's shipped when it's not, i'd start calling & demand a refund if it's been 9 days highly likely majority will be cancelled
it will be cancelled most likely and then take up to 14 days to get your money back. Meanwhile they will make interest from your money. I would never buy online from them again after previous experiences
How can a department store operate without an operational online store in 2020. They should have mastered this 10 years ago or more. The cost of running such massive stores in city centres would be nothing compared to the cost of making their website actually operational.
Yeah, this is rubbish: 20 items in cart listed as "click and collect," but nearest stores available are 700-2000 km away.
Is there any way of seeing which stores have stock without adding them to your cart?
What a train wreck of a site!
Happy Socks for $5.40 is a decent deal if you can find stock though.
I found a few decent items, including gold plated cufflinks which are $600+ everywhere but with the discount $240
Definitely awesome price if you're into that!
I don't see them?
Probably available on ebay for $8 :p its not like their cufflink category is ever overpriced… https://www.davidjones.com/men/accessories/jewellery/cufflin…
It was in the sale section, I googled and the cheapest was over $600 at major retailers. All the US stores had it for sale 400usd+
It was gold plated, had a skull! Maybe it sold out, I'll see if I can find the link after.
Nah don't worry about it :)
Canceled orders since 2018. Haven't successfully made a click and collet before :/
Lots of great women's swimwear on sale
Wow. I thought the comments on cancelled orders were an exaggeration, but i just got email notification from DJs that my transactions have been cancelled.
What a waste of time.
Is it just me or the website is a shocker to use and the search of location/delivery makes it just painful….could be a time waster…
