is this a new type of promo?? sounds almost too good to be true that they can add to your super

    https://boostyoursuper.com.au/#how-it-works

funny how half the answers are blanks,

is there a maximum they can add

    • +2

      i agree, especially now seeing
      Cashwards is @ 1%
      Shopback is @ 3%
but some how boostyoursuper got 5%??

what incentive do ebay have to give this amount of cashback an unheard of company

      p.s don't take my word

      • if you spend absolute zillions on ebay for the 5% categories for whatever reason

whats stopping you from having zillions in super when you retire!

        i am very curious

        • +3

          *zillions/20

        • If you contribute more than $25k p.a. You lose the contribution tax benefit.
OTherwise, nothing is stopping you up to a balance of $1.6m.

      • To answer your question, boostyoursuper is a new business and as such are passing more of the savings to the customer to get more people on board in comparison to the more established shop back/cash rewards.

      • This way they get your real contact details and your superannuation details. Makes it easy for them to profile you & track your purchases. And as for 5% off, they can make so many times more of the discount they offered.

sounds almost too good to be true that they can add to your super

Why? The superannuation industry is highly profitable given that it removes 0.8% of it's victim's wages while telling idiots that it would be impossible to have no fees.

      • if I was spending $100k per year on booze for work purposes for example, thats $5k per year they will put into my account,

that compounded over a working life time is a lot of $$$

        • +3

          Any job openings…

        • Some example haha.

        • Clearly none of the two commenters above me work in consulting haha

  • +37

Waiting 90 days to get my cashback is bad enough, I don't want to have to wait until retirement.

    • +2

Implying it doesn't get consumed by fees before retirement lol

      • +5

        or consumed by your ex

    • Implying it won't be useless thanks to inflation

  • OP, how will these amounts be treated by my super fund? Concessional or non-concessional contributions? Are they reported to the tax office as income?

    • +1

      Non-concessional.
      Not reported to ATO.

Lodge a notice to intent to claim or vary a super contribution tax deduction form to convert the contribution to a concessional one

  • I saw Super-Rewards in the news about a week ago advertising they were the first cashback site to pay into your super. This concept obviously caught on fast!

  • Interesting

  • +2

No or low cashback for purchases with voucher, coupon, promotion code or eBay Plus memberships.

    • I don't see the issue? They're saying they won't (potentially) give cashback if you're buying eBay Plus membership.

      • +3

No, they're saying they potentially won't pay cashback for purchases made with a voucher, coupon, promo or eBay plus…

You make a purchase with eBay plus, they might not pay cashback…

If your interpretation is right they need to correct the wording, but how it's currently worded that's not how it sounds lol

        • Im going to say youre interpretation is correct

It says no or low cashbacks WITH ebay plus membership,

          Not "on"

          I hope im wrong

    • Have a positive,
Neg for raising a perfectly valid vague point is just silly

  • Didn't this get shot down as a deal a few months ago? Mainly because there's no details and really it's not better that CR/SB?
