Just upgraded to get away from 2Gb/16Gb which is too small for today's proliferating app environment, especially when most can't be microSD resident. You need at least 32Gb and preferably 64Gb.
locked to Telstra one would assume ?
How easy is it to unlock & @ what cost please? I want to take it overseas. Thx
me on the same boat, if can unlock, would like to bring overseas, let me know if you found the unlock service, thanks in advance.

I just entered the ops username in a binary to text converter. You sneaky little devil.
Enlighten us.. because whatever pair of funky characters it comes up with aren't displaying properly in the converters I tried.
I’m also curious!
I have a 2gb Alcatel and it struggles big time. It is good for calling and receiving, forget browsing
That would be mostly due to a slow processor, rather than only having 2GB of RAM.
Yeah, cheap phone cheap everything. What kind of processor should I look for a in a sub $300 Android phone. Thanks in advance for your help
I've got no specific recommendations as I have not been reading reviews lately, so I suggest you have a look a reviews. Usually Xiaomi make excellent budget phones.
Anyone had any luck in regards to unlocking this? Just purchased one with the intention of using with an Woolworths Sim card but then realised that it likely won't work that way.
Just following up on my efforts to unlock it, the only way at the moment seems to be through Telstra for $80, it seems the availability of the codes hasn't made it through to the eBay type sellers yet. Bit of a shame because it would have been ideal for the daughter but not with a starting price of $50pm for prepaid.
Bought one for $99 at Officeworks yesterday to serve as a spare. Locked to Telstra but my Boost SIM works fine. Waiting for the 6 months to come up to unlock at Telstra for $25 as third party unlocks are $45+ it seems.
Specs per telstra site, looks like the 2GB/16GB model, with B28, no NFC.
