Something really wrong with the way you handle it. I have been using it for a year and handled it really rough, never been on case..directly put it on my backpack.. but still it looks and feel new. Are you sure you got the same one? Did you get it through JB for $270,you mean commercial?

I bought this from JB at $270 and the plastic/hinges started creaking loudly after only a week. I literally had to return three pairs before I demanded a refund. How the (profanity) can three pairs, all new, start creaking in just a week? Two creaked from the left hinge area, and the third from the right. What I mean with the creaking is that when you stretch them to put them on, it creaked loudly. And the third pair, If I moved a head around, I could hear creaking from the right hinge that reverberated while I listened to music, which was very very noticeable.
And I got them for so cheap, damn it. Was I really unlucky?
