Website error. The website has the correct price for the "Boston" (DCF5240) Fan which does not have grid connect smart features, is not dimmable and the light colour cannot be changed. However, the pictures show the smart features and grid connect of the "Boston Smart" (DCF5240HA) Fan which scans for $199. I cannot see this model on the Bunnings website. The store I went to (Oxley in Brisbane) were happy to override the price to $170. I do not believe that they have any more as I collected the last two units that were on the shelf.
These are a hard wired item and therefore are meant to be installed by an electrician.

The fan has an economical DC motor
6 fan speeds
Timer
Google home or Amazon Alexa voice control
Android or IOS App to control all features and to set timer
Change colour of the light
Dimmable
Most features can be controlled using the supplied remote control.

I have five Arlec DC fans installed and have not had any issues with any of them.

      Yes, easily. Just need a fan and an electrician to install it.

      No problem. Might as well let people know not to go to the Oxley store but there are many other Bunnings stores around Australia that may have them in stock.

    I bought this a few months ago and had an electrician install it through airtasker. I'm very happy with the light/fan, all features work as described. It was very easy connecting it to the wifi network and I haven't had any problems controlling it through the app, google assistant, the light switch, or remote. You can barely hear when the fan is running. I would highly recommend this product!

          100% its on downforce wind its just not powerful enough! moves much less air than the 60w AC fan it replaced

      Do you mind telling what exactly you did?

      Did u picked up non-smart one first and then complain at the checkout that it has no smart features as listed on their website??

      Please help, as I want 5 of them.

        they only had the smart one in stock but another store I went to had the regular ones.

        I brought the smart one in a trolley to the front customer service counter and showed them the website.

        They did the usual scanning etc and told me it was $199.

        I showed the website showing $170 and the pictures are all smart version.

        They called up the other department and I spoke to the guy and explained that the website is displaying incorrect information, can I get it for $170.

        and then they processed it through
